Good batteries October 1, 2004 64 out of 76 found this review helpful
At 30 cents a piece (=60 cents a pair), these Memorex batteries are good alkaline batteries. However, don't expect to use them in digital cameras, as they won't last long. For digital cameras that take AA you should use NiMH rechargeable batteries. The Memorex is great for other electronics such as CD players, MP3 players, portable radios, etc.
On rechargeable batteries February 8, 2005 19 out of 22 found this review helpful
In response to Sina Neshatian (1/16/05): I gave up on rechargeable batteries because: 1) They don't take as much charge as alkaline, even when brand new; and 2) They run down far more quickly. I think they would be very appropriate for uses less demanding than mine.
Memorex Batteries January 2, 2005 16 out of 58 found this review helpful
I was disappointed. These were not the Memorex Batteries I usually see, these are made in China and look like knock offs.
I haven't used them yet, so they may be O.K., expecially at that price, but I feel like I was missled.
I also found I could buy Batteries at Costco for the same price.
Great deal! Rechargables? Watch out for lower voltage! March 22, 2005 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Great deal, now at 20 each. When thinking about rechargeable batteries, be aware that many (if not all) have a full charge voltage of 1.25V, while the alkalines have 1.5V -- some equipment, like the flash attachment on my digital camera, will NOT work with 4 rechargeable batteries (5V) but WILL WORK with 4 alkalines (6V). Test before making major purchases...
Didn't last long for me April 8, 2006 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I use a portable Discman that takes 2 double A's, and just finished my multpack of Energizers. So based on its reviews I tried these out. However in my discplayer, these last only about 2 weeks before I get a low battery indication. With the Energizers I only had to change them once a month.
With other electronics such as remote controls, you may not notice the performance diffrence.
