Fun for all ages! May 8, 2008 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
My kids, ages 6, 8, & 14 love this scooter. When they are at school, I ride it--I'm 39. Doesn't go as well uphill, or even a small incline, without manual pushes on the ground with your foot, but otherwise you can get it to roll around with both feet up, simply by swaying your body from side to side. It is an excellent design. I absolutely love it and so do my kids. Gets them out from behind the video games for a while.
A big hit with the grandkids February 8, 2008 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
I gave one of these to my 5 year old, rather active, grandson for Christmas 2007. He loves it, the neighborhood boys and girls his age and older love it, his 12 year old brother even loves it. Several neighbor parents have bought them for their kids, at least five. It is pretty safe and loads of fun. He wears a helmet but not the knee pads, etc. that are necessary with a skate board, and it does have a hand brake.
It goes with a kind of shifting motion like skating and can drift sideways to add to the thrill. He learned to do it very quickly. I gave the 12 year old a Rip-Stick which is a hit too, but not nearly as big as the Powerwing. The wing is for younger and less athletic kids, but seems like any kid can have fun on it. If you want to be the "cool" grandparent, get the Razor Powerwing.
very fun scooter December 31, 2007 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughters, age 8 & 6 for Christmas. With the cold weather they have not been able to ride it too much. However, the times they have, they love it. It is very smooth on paved paths. When using on our bumpy sidewalk, it is a little harder for them to get it moving. The hand brake is useful. So far it seems safe and doesn't tip over unless they take a corner too fast. The removable rear wheels are helpful in keeping it from popping up. If these are removed, the front of the scooter is able to be lifted up and balanced for harder tricks. Overall a fun scooter.
Fun Scooter April 21, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I gave this to my 7 year old daughter for her birthday and she loves it. All the kids at her party ages 6-10 loved it. It is really easy to ride and a lot of fun. My daughter has to fight my husband for a turn! Worth every penny although I got it for a great price here on Amazon. The price has since gone up but well worth it.

I really enjoy this Razor. I have always enjoyed thieir products. This scooter came exactly as described. I would highly recommend this scooter. But, like anything else I buy I have some critique. These are just things that I would improve. 1). it is only made for 143 Lbs; it needs to be made stronger for the kid in all of us. I do not like the folding mechanism as it makes the steering shake. The first day I had this out of the box, I bent the handle bars. (but remember, I exceed the maximum allowable weight by 100 pounds!) It is not made for an adult my size. I wish they made one for those of us who are real aggressive and 240+! I also need bigger wheels. It works great for my kids who are well within the weight limits. I want a beefed-up adult version with bigger wheels and taller handle bars. But it's great for the price. We also took off the rubber mounted brakes--they just got in the way of the really good tricks.
