5 out of 5 stars Best IR Extender on the Market   February 7, 2007

This extender does everything is says it will do. The AAA sized transmitter/mini battery fits perfectly into the battery compartment. It even came with a spare rechargable mini battery that charges in the reciever base.

If you can place the unit where it has line of site to all your electronics you don't need to user the IR transmitter wires. As I am sure is true with most who need this device, it was not the case with me. So I also bought the 3 eye transmitter cable which worked pefectly as well. I can be several rooms away and all my electronics still recieve the signal every time.

Can't really say enough about this product. No ugly RF transmitter to attach to the remote and not IR reciever/RF Transmitter to point at. Just place the reciever near your equipment, hookup any IR wires you need to hidden equipment and put RF transmitter in one of your battery slots and your remote will work anywhere with out line of site.

5 out of 5 stars Works so well, costs so little   February 7, 2007

I could not be happier! Now my remote control does not even have to be aimed in any particular direction. Press the button and instant response.

If you are having any kind of problem getting the control signals to your audio and video equipment, this will probably take care of it. My receiver and audio/video equipment is all in a closet, about 15 feet from my monitor. I had tried many solutions, and was considering some very expensive universal remote controls. I decided to try the Next Generation remote control extender because of its low price, and some good comments on some audio/video blogs.

Without buying a second (or more) package like this one, you can order just the transmitter part (the part that goes in your remote) for more remote controls. I am using two remote control units, both with the Next Generation transmitters installed, but have only one of the receivers. It works perfectly!

Buy it! You will love it!

5 out of 5 stars Very pleased with this Remote Control Extender   July 13, 2007

I waited several month before writing this review to insure the product continued to function as well as it did out of the box. My Dish Satellite Receiver and the base unit for the Remote Control Extender are in the master bedroom. I have the output of the Dish Receiver sent through a RF Agile Modulator to six televisions in the house. This Remote Control Extender functions through out the house. Occasionally a second press of a button is required.

5 out of 5 stars The best!!   November 2, 2007

I've tried a few of these and this is the best. I'm currently using this for a Tivo box that I put in my basement. I've tried this setup with other extenders, but this one works the best. You don't have to worry about pointing the remote at a relay. Because all remotes emit a low powered rf when you press a button this one amplifies it and the reciever in the other room converts it to IR.

Works like a charm!! I could not be happier.

4 out of 5 stars It's Magic!   December 6, 2007

I am not sure know how it works, but it does. I also have a One-For-All URC 9910, and this works just as well from a transmission/reception standpoint. Actually, this seems less "finicky" about antenna adjustment than the OFA. Very cool.

I took off one star because the instructions could be MUCH better.
