Perfect July 30, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This little, inexpensive gadget is exactly what's needed to rid your videos of the shakes. I have a Sony tripod with the zoom feature built into the handle, and it's impossible to zoom without causing the shakes, even slight ones.
This remote is the perfect solution.
Does what it's supposed to. January 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Does what it's supposed to. I use it with a Sony DSC-V1, no problems.
Nice gadget, keeps image steady August 21, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first glance this appeared to be almost too small to use, cheaply made and the clamp too tiny. Wrong on all impressions. It is well made, small, but easy to use, and the clamp opens very wide! The cable is long - you can mount the camera several feet away or on a tripod. I use it with my Bogen video head - the clamp opens more than enough to accommodate the handle - plus it has rubber pads on both sides, so it grips firmly. The only negative point - the remote only has two zoom speeds. Slow and fast. My camera has a variable zoom, and I really like it.
It took a little getting used to the zoom speeds, but it was not that big a deal.
The biggest advantage is that I can geep my hands off the camera and on the tripod. This keeps the shots steadier!
Works great for nice steady video shooting November 3, 2005 Nice having the zoom & record button separate from the camera. Tried using the remote, but it's zoom goes too fast and looks jerky. Only wish the zoom button had variable control like on the camera.
nice addition for an amateur March 13, 2007 i am an amateur photographer and this tool comes in very handy when shooting with my dsc r1 on a tri pod ....totally removes the possibility of "camera shake"
