5 out of 5 stars Personal Listening   December 30, 2007

These wireless headsets are great. Able to keep TV volume down so as not to bother others. Extremely good stereo sound.

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy these   February 2, 2008

I bought a pair of these headphones. The base unit is faulty and turns itself off sometimes. The only way to get it to work is to unplug and replug it in every time I want to use it. The battery charger does not work well.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product for the Price   February 12, 2008

For the price this product does a great job. Plug it into your TV (etc.) headphone jack. Reduce the volume on the Sony headphones and increase the volume on the TV to at least mid level. This will eliminate the noise that some reviews complained about. Range and reception are excellent.

1 out of 5 stars Whole Lotta Noise   June 29, 2008

Headphones
I bought this item somehow, fortunately, before the price skyrocketed 20 bucks. I got it for 57.09. Don't know how or why sony or amazing jacked the price, but stoked I got this before it went up. Weird how that worked out. So THAT in itself earns a star for this item.

Design: VERY sweet, simple and intuitive. The analog RCA red-white is convertible to the 3.5mm jack. You just flip the cable around and use the opposite end on the reciever for whatever port your don't have. I was impressed with the little usage of cords and cable-age. Additionally, the simple 3 channel switch, battery opening button, and volume button are the ONLY buttons on the headphones. A+ for simplistic design. The out-on-of with the headband works well, too, but I'm concerned with some wear and tear that might be a problem, sot hat's solid right there. 2 more stores for design.

I wish the actual ear muffs were totally soundproof. I had been wearing peltor ear plugs (Designed for chainsaw noise) to block out ambient noise and had always shoved earbuds under those, this, understandably, offered a huge upgrade to listenign to music, but would have liked it to be totally soundproof. But that's not really a buying factor for most people. The ear muffs DO totally surround your ears with a desireable cushion. So tack on another star for comfort.

All that is GREAT! But it snaps, crackles and pops on all three of the channels of the channels , that's the most essential feature, so that loses three stars!

There's so few buttons and/or cordage you need to fiddle with. The minimum amount of plugs that came with the thing enhances the gist of wireless headphones (no cable clutter). This is a stellar poduct. And if you could get for 57.09 like I did, it's a steal. The ability to roam around the house while listening to music or some program is magically liberating. You don't have ot pause audo files while taking a bathroom break anymore. Haha!

Neglibible: Packaging. Why the hell do they make these so impossible to open from the plastic wrapper?! haha!

1 out of 5 stars Defective Out of the Box   June 29, 2008

I own many Sony products, (HDTV, Audio Receiver, CD Carosels, Digital Cameras)

I was very disappointed with this product. The first unit was defective out of the box. The replacement unit was also defective. I returned both units for credit and would never buy another Sony headset again.
