5 out of 5 stars Extremely light weighted... Clear cripse sound... 9.9/10!   September 9, 2006

It's very true that this unit is very light weighted. It is supported by a rubber clip-on around your ear so it doesnt hurt your ear after a long period of usage... It is EXTREMELY small!... By the look of the picture online, it looks big but the unit is about the size of a US quarter. Very comfortable wearing

For the sound quality, I dont see much differences with cheaper clip-on's such as Sony MDR-Q22SL. I used the MDR-Q22SL before, so I dont see much difference with sound quality, maybe a tiny bit better with a little bit more bass and blocking outside noise. I bought these so I can go on road trips with my girlfriend and put this nice comfortable headset on when she start an arguement or sarcasm... It will definitely block her yelling out and all you listen to is nice beautiful clear music. Dont let me compare this headset with the cheaper Sony MDR-Q22SL discourage you... Sony just makes their product good no matter at what price...

Though it's not much difference with the Sony MDR-Q22SL clip-on, I still love this ATH-EM7GM, especially for it comfortness on your ear.

Along with the description above, it has the thin thread-like cable instead of the plastic rubbery cable. Easy to move around with this type of soft cable.

LOVE IT!...

3 out of 5 stars No Bass , Clean Crisp Highs !   May 19, 2007

I really wanted to like these cans !
More $$ than I spent on any headphones so far, and its not the $$ that I cared about..it was about the "all around great sound" I expected ! These just didn't do anything for me. They do have clean crisp highs...but turn up the volume and they just break down like some $2 cans ! Im serious, I like my Koss KSC75's (with a little modification) alot more !
There arent many clip-on style cans out there, so when I saw these I went with the AT name (just knowing they would be worth every penny) but sorry, they arent worth it ! I even talked to AT about it..and didn't get anywhere with the tech I spoke with (he did say for about $150 more I should try the next model up) I didn't want to waste time (returns) at this point, and thought "these" SHOULD have been the end to the trial-error period I was going thru, but its not over yet even though the KSC75's are still pumping out great sound !
Like I said earlier, they do have crisp clean highs..and the fabric covered wires (as opposed to the plain rubber covering), along with the lightweight, comfort & the style these have are Excellent !
They just dont have (IMO) what I thought they had !

5 out of 5 stars impressive headphones!   August 19, 2006

I've just gotten these headphones from Amazon today and was impressed on how they looked and was even more impressed on the sound these phones can produce! They feel very light on your ears that you have to check it every now and then to make sure that you really have them on your ears! The sound is great and can hear my music as good if my mp3 volume is on 1 as it is on 10. The only downside of this phones is that they leak a lot of sound but it doesn't really matter if you don't care!

1 out of 5 stars Don't bother   February 24, 2007

These things work but they are uncomfortable, the cord is wearing out already, and the sound quality isn't that great. I have been less disappointed with $20 head phones.

My recommendation, spend your money on anything but these.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet little cans...   March 15, 2007

With a frequency range of 14-24,000 Hz and sensitivity of 109 dB, the Em7's will charm the pants off many discerning listeners. They are feather-weight, non-fatiguing clip-ons that have superb clarity and range for their size. Frankly the cord is one of the best features of this model. No rubbery, under-your-chin, tangling webs but rather a soft, one-sided (DJ style) cotton sheathed cord that only adds to the comfort and sleek appearance. If you crave uber-bass, you may be disappointed as these are not tub-thumpers. Also they are not "closed", so outside sound will leak in not making them choice for subways. However, they will appeal to those who still need to be aware of their surroundings. Who cares about sound leaking out?!?! Everybody needs a little music in their life!!

I wore these little guys for 11 hours straight and, for the first time, has absolutely no ear fatigue or irritations. That sold me. Now, what other colors do they come in?? ;-)
