5 out of 5 stars Best headphones EVER!!!!!!!   May 4, 2007

I have incredibly small ears, hence, small ear canals. These are the ONLY headphones that allow me to painlessly listen to my ipod. AND they stay in while running, lifting, and using cardio machines at the gym. The sound is very typical sony, great bass, mid low and high tones. Overall - EXCELLENT.

3 out of 5 stars Low durability   March 30, 2007

Decent high-end and middle frequency range, poor low-end--typical for small headphones. The in-the-ear style works for me. The chord is too short for my needs. My 1st pair arrived defective and the 2nd pair lasted for only 3 months and I was very careful with them. Three stars only for low durability and short chord.

5 out of 5 stars Splendid. Incredible sound detail for the price.   December 22, 2007

Simply put, the sony vertical sport series are the best headphones you can buy for the price. If you treat them well, they will last for years, and the bass response and overall clarity is top notch. I have a pair of 140$ surround wireless sony's, a behringer set, the verticals, and a pair of sennheiser's, and still the sony MDR's are strong enough to push high quality sound at any volume.

Biggest plus? Tiny drivers mean you can listen to your music LOUD and only be at 25% max volume on your favorite MP3 player... which of course leads to longer battery life.

I have bought these headphones numerous times (as with any exposed cord electronic, getting caught on something can be its demise) and will continue to do so.

5 out of 5 stars Superb Rocking Sound!   July 9, 2007

I had their predecessors for almost 10 years, one day the little things stop functioning because I pulled them too hard, so I decided to look for the updated version of these headphones, because my earholes cannot stand any other headphones (too small). When I got them, not only their design remains the same, but the sound was dramatically improved and they have manual vol control (a plus). The originals had excellent sound, but these are even better!

I am pretty satisfied, thanks Sony, keep up the good work!

4 out of 5 stars works very well, fits in ear   November 6, 2006

This is a great product, the in-line volume control is very convenient. These headphones are great for working out because they stay in place. The only negative is that because they are so lightweight and inexpensive, they only last about 6 months but I use mine everyday and think they are well worth the price and I usually buy a few at a time.
