1 out of 5 stars Used to be Great- Now they are Junk!   October 2, 2006

WOW! I thought I was going crazy: I owned a pair of these headphone for more than 5 years- I traveled around the world three times with them working them everyday for confidence monitoring for video- never had a problem and always thought they sounded good for the price, lightweight, and fold-ability.

Finally, this year, I lost my original, 5+ year old pair. I went straight to Radio Shack for a new pair. Well, 4 DAYS LATER, they broke- snapped clean off at the temple joint as I was FOLDING THEM UP!! Because of my previous experience, I knew this was a fluke failure. To Radio Shack's credit, they gave me a new one.

LESS THAN ONE WEEK LATER- same break- same place- and I had been EXTRA CAREFULL folding! Now I wish it was because of my increased gym visits- my finger muscles are just so ripped they destroy whatever they grasp- but I knew someting was up. I went back to Radio Shack and had to raise a stink. They came thru but I was made to feel like a liar.

My THIRD PAIR broke THREE DAYS LATER on the TOP HINGE. Fed up, and knowing that RS would call the cops if I made another scene, I decided to repair the break with superglue and a crude paperclip hinge. This works OK but wouldn't you know it, THE VERY NEXT DAY the temple hinge snapped off!! I decided that before I went insane and smashed these evil, devil headphones to bits I would Google- just in case I wasn't crazy...

I KNEW it- I knew I wasn't imagining things: something about these formerly great headphones has changed. Now they are flimsy pieces of junk ruining the day of many, many folks. Who knows a lawyer that will launch a Class Action suit?

5 out of 5 stars Perfect!   June 8, 2004

I bought these for $20, (good price for these), and dont regret it at all. They are light and stay on your head very well. I was on a trampoline doning flips and they stood on perfectly. They are also very comfortable. They stay in play and dont move in your ear so the plastic wont rubb against your ear. They sound great too. I had sony MDR-EX51LP's (more expensive) and i like these alot better. Base doesn't overtake the sound, vocals sound perfect, and background is great too! So for 20 bucks, these are the best you will get!!

My friend had these on and he has glasses, and he looked like a robot or something stupid. They may be good quality sound but they just look so stupid i thought i should warn you, if you have glasses, you should get better earphones, that have wires.

4 out of 5 stars Great for standing still   February 12, 2005

These headphones have excellent design, construction, and weather resistance. I run at a pace of 10-minute/mile while listening to podcasts and music on my iRiver flash player.

If you intend to run with them--or go any speed above a slow walk, you will hear a constant howling of air past the somewhat aerodynamic side pieces. I even noticed this while walking through my living room. This makes them impossible to listen with. So sit and enjoy, but don't walk or run.

1 out of 5 stars If you are a runner, don't get these.   April 15, 2006

The good: they fit good and they sound good. The fatal flaw: the speaker faces forward so as you run, the wind creates a whistle in your ear. As you run, you hear a loud and annoying whistle, which makes this product worthless to a runner.
