5 out of 5 stars A runner's best friend!   September 28, 2008

As a runner, I need lightweight headphones that don't jump/move/jar around. I hate ear buds (hate them!) as they are seemingly designed for people w/LARGE ear holes! These things are tiny, fit nicely IN your ear and provide great sound without annoying you on a long run! The price is fabulous too! Last time I ordered, I bought 4 pairs (whenever I like something it seems to be discontinued) and I just broke into pair #2 this week (after almost a year w/the others). I've run in these for 3 half marathons and countless training runs, inside and out. If I wouldn't wad them up and throw them in my gym bag, they'd probably last even longer, but eventually one side tends to give out.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible   January 21, 2006

I used these on my iPod. I also used these for running. the sound is ok. Very little bass and kind trebly. They lasted about 6 months then stopped working all the while they kept deteriorating. The cord is very thin and very weak. I stepped on it twice and the wiring became exposed. The cord ultimately looked like an electrical taped mess. The left channel stopped working after 6 months. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone who is going to use these for working out in any way. I suppose they are fine for commuting or general use.

5 out of 5 stars The Best   May 11, 2006

Being an avid music fan, you can find me with headphones on at least 5 hours a day. Most of my time at work is spent at a desk with headphones on and, without a doubt, these are the best bang for the buck.

These headphones are meant for portability. So if you plan on using your headphones with a portable cd player, fm tuner, mp3 player, etc. then life doesn't get any better than with these. Otherwise, you will probably need to purchase an extension cord to go along with them.

The sound is perfect for your average person, and they are unbreakable. Well... almost. The cord will often get loose at a joint somewhere, so you will need to plan on buying a new pair once every 9 months or so if you use your headphones often. But, unless you are jerking on the cords in an unnatural way, you cannot break these. Bend them anyway you want, and they immediately return to their original shape.

If you are going to wear a pair of headphones for extended periods of time, you will probably want the following features:

ultra-light,
flexible/unbreakable,
good sound,
stays on your head (even if you take the buds out of your ears), or hangs around neck,
and are cheap enough that you don't mind buying a pair once or twice a year.

Honestly, there are times when my music has been paused for a short period of time and I have to touch my ears to see if I even have the headphones on. They are *that* comfortable. I buy three at a time so that I have a backup and I can give a pair away to a friend who I see wearing poor sounding or uncomfortable headphones that usually come default with their device (ahem, ipod).

5 out of 5 stars Awesome for Small Ears   April 18, 2007

I was looking for a pair of lightweight headphones to replace the ear-buds that came with my MP3 player. I am a small person and most ear-bud headphones feel like I'm jamming soda cans into my ear canals. Unfortunately, most traditional headphones are also too big and fall off when I am running. Someone recommended this pair of headphones to me, and I'm so glad they did! The fit is perfect, and the sound quality far exceeds what I was expecting for the price. I am so happy I finally found headphones that sound great AND fit!
