1 out of 5 stars The sound is terrible - do not ignore the negative reviews like I did   July 30, 2007

I still have the white buds that came with my shuffle, and switching to these is a jarring experience. The JBuds sound muddy: just plain bad. They fit fine, and I might use them at the gym where I am not listening closely to the music and the little bit of noise reduction helps. The sound is so bad that even when I listen to books on tape I notice the low quality. I highly recommend spending a few bucks more and buying the comparable Sony product. I have used these and they have the noise reduction but also have decent sound quality.

4 out of 5 stars Earbuds Review   October 16, 2006

I read about earbuds from Fitness and I bought them because of the price was reasonable Approximately $20.00

When I used them in the noisy NYC streets and subways, I can actually enjoy my music w/o turning the volume up REALLY high! I was surprised and pleased how well these Earbuds worked in my noisy environment :)

5 out of 5 stars Great earphones!   May 10, 2007

I love these earphones. The ipod earbuds didn't fit my ears well and caused them to ache. So my parents let me order new ones, and I decided on these. What a great choice! I highly recommend them to anyone. The sound is crystal clear, and it might sound weird but it sounds as though the music is coming from your brain.
Buy these!

3 out of 5 stars Not entirely noise cancelling...   December 7, 2006

If you are looking for noise cancelling earbuds, I would not recommend these. Read closely and notice they say, "passive noise cancelling". In other words it blocks out some extraneous noise if you are playing music on a medium to loud volume. In order to truely be noise cancelling they need to have electric circuitry. Other than not being noise canceling the comfort and sound quality of the buds are great. I will let you know how the company does with returns.

2 out of 5 stars Very comfortable but sound quality is, um, unusual   March 29, 2007

These are not only very comfortable ear buds, they are the only ones I've found that actually stay in my ear. That said, I returned them. The sound is extremely colored, treble is missing, midrange ok but lacking indetail, bass is very present but boomey and "one-notey" like a cheap subwoofer.

The sound has two strengths that should not be diminished, because there may be people for whom these strengths out-weigh the faults:
1. Very easy to listen to. Not harsh at all. A LOT of cheap electronics are harsh sounding. These are not.
2. I suspect that these would be tremendous fun to listen to with RAP music. I don't know because rap is not on my ipod, but, I suspect these were designed for rap music. Just a hunch.

Anyway, the seller requires the buyer pay return shipping and a 15% restock fee, so there is a penalty for trying these out to see if you like them, but it's not a huge penalty.

Feel free to try them, especially if you like bass-heavy music (boom boom) and are willing to experiment.
