2 out of 5 stars not worth $20   August 9, 2008
I got these earbuds to replace the current ipod earphones that i've been using. after reading many reviews on these jbuds and seeing the many positive feedback, i was excited to try them out for myself.

i had many complaints with the original ipod earphones that comes with the ipod: two of the biggest issues were that they lost sound quality at higher volumes, and their lack of bass

the jbuds solved both these issues. the bass is very powerful and can be adjusted easily with the EQ settings on my ipod. Also the sound kept the same quality at higher volumes. The noise-reduction was also great. the medium-size earbuds provided a good fit and at moderate volumes i could not hear the TV on in the room

However i was quite disappointed with the rest of the performance. Like other reviewers have said before, the bass is good but the overall sound is muddy, kinda like how your hearing gets damped and faded when your ears pop cus of elevation changes. I tried adjusting this by raising the midrange/treble on the EQ. It helped a little, but not much. Although the earbuds provide a more powerful sound than the regular ipod earphones, it is not nearly as crisp

overall, i would say these are better than the ipod earphones (but not by much). However, i regret having to spend $20 for a product that's mediocre at best

1 out of 5 stars Low Quality, Stop Working Within A Couple Months   August 9, 2008
I had 2 different pairs of this products and both had a headphone go dead within a few months. One lasted about 4 months and the other pair only lasted about 2 months. Not to mention the rubber ear buds come off easily and if you don't notice that they came off then you are stuck using another earbud that comes with the headphones that doesn't really fit in your ear. I work out a lot so my headphones take a lot of sweat and I normally go through headphones every now and then but these by far lasted the shortest of any headphones I've ever tried.

5 out of 5 stars I Really Really Love These Earbuds   August 10, 2008
I've tried my new JBuds on simple radios, mp3 players, Ipods, my portable dvd player and I'm so amazed with the high quality sounds, clarity, and reduction of outside noise. And I just love the hot candy pink color. All my old lady friends want one - young ones too. Don't say I said that my JBuds are better than my previous S___ ear buds. The 18k plated prong seems to decrease static, and provide great and clear conduction. Just enjoy.

1 out of 5 stars Very bad earphones, definitly not if you are a runner   August 10, 2008
The earphones worked fine when I opened it from the box. When I wore them while running the left side went out. This was on the second day of my use (I didnt even have to wait for 1 month like others for these earphones to malfunction). A Definite waste of money for me.

3 out of 5 stars Could be better   August 10, 2008
It fits in my ears very well, as they give you 3 different size ear pieces, however the sound is mushy. The earbuds that came with my Slacker player have much better sound, but they keep falling out of my ears. I would look for earbuds with better sound.
