Neat product October 22, 2005 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure what to expect from a sub 15$ range earbud.I basically dont like earbuds because they lack the fullness of the over the ear types. I had purchased the cheap Koss for 6$, and they were horrible, absolutely pathetic. The ones that came with my Creative Muvo were ok, average, but nothing great, mids and highs were not clear enough and there was no fullness. Then I purchased the Koss KSC75 which were terrific, but they are big and tough to fit in jeans. So I decided to get this one after readin reviews, and I am very happy. True senn sound, mid range is crisp and well defined, with voice getting good attention and at the same time not over powering the instruments. Bass is neat from an earbud, treble is where it should be, my only problem with it is the wire length,a cost cutting strategy??? Maybe. Cos it is not possible to keep the mp3 player in say your back pocket, best place wud be to hold it in your hand, which many ppl mite not prefer. But heck, sound is wat matters in the end and these are worth twice the price, maybe even more.
Very good inexpensive buds February 3, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I picked up a couple of pairs of these earbuds for use with my Zen mp3 player. After listening for a couple of weeks, I'm quite impressed. They have a much more detailed sound than any of the other earbuds I've tried under $30, and even rival my Etymotics in their midrange clarity. I can understand lyrics that I never understood before on songs that I've literally listened to hundreds of times. They're quite comfortable in my ears as well.
Downsides include a short cord (would be perfect if it was about 6 in longer) -- as is, I can't keep the player in my pants' pocket while listening. The foam covers also don't want to stay on very well.
Overall, a very nice set of earbuds at an unbelievable price.
Great Price! March 20, 2005 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These are great replacements for the ipod's white ear buds. The ipod's packed in buds were too big for my ears and hurt so much when I would listen to my ipod. The MX-400's are smaller and sound a lot better and are more comfortable. As other reviews stated these have more bass than the packed in ipod ear buds. They are great and you can't beat that price-$14! The case is convenient too, you can roll up your ear buds from the bottom swivel mechanism. Great Buy you won't regret.
Best Earbuds under $50 July 1, 2005 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
Simply the best buds for the money. The sound is quite simply better than every earbud I've ever owned, including the Sony and Koss series. If you have an mp3 player, go with these instead of the low priced Sonys on this site, they beat them hands down. Clean bass, excellent midranges, and crisp highs. Really, these buds wowed me and there is a reason why every audiophile forum on the web will mention these as a low priced alternative to the more expensive but mediocre earbuds you see on store shelves.
Lets put it this way, if you have 70 dollars and need quality phones, get the legendary Grado SR60's. If you have less than 50 to spend and you want earbuds, get the MX-400's.
Simply works! January 13, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Fairly comfortable (I find most earbuds and in-ear 'phones difficult to take) with almost no noise isolation (you'll hear everything around you). The little foam covers come popping off and are easily lost. The little case is EXCELLENT and makes transporting these safely easy. Overally, inexpensive, fairly good sounding, just the thing to carry in the computer bag...
