very good January 2, 2005 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
Can't compare to Bose 151 but for the money it's a good speaker for the deck. I upgraded to the Bose but didn't really need to. I just wanted the best for my backyard to enjoy my Sirius radio by the pool and spa. And Bose IS the best. (but very expensive )
Great for poolside listening.... August 17, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I haven't had my Audio Source speakers that long but so far they have been great! I paid about $40.00 for the pair to put up outside our pool and deck area. They have brackets that you can mount to the side of your house and they hold great. It did come with some screws that I have no idea what they go to but we really didn't need them anyway. If you are looking for some inexpensive speakers to just listen to music while you are lounging around outside these are great for that! I am very happy with my purchase.
Audiosource LS300 speakers October 27, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I resently installed these speakers on the outside of my house (backyard). I was amazed at the quality of sound that came out of such inexpensive speakers. I recommend these speakers to anyone who wants a good source of background music for their outdoor activities.

While most cars have places to put speakers, vans and VW busses don't. Outdoor speakers allow you to hang the speaker on the walls or in the corners. You can hear the stereo better because the speakers are above the cargo or seats and you can use less wattage to drive them. I have two complaints: 1. They come with plastic brackets that break going down the road. You need to get metal brackets from the manufacturer if you are going to use these for an auto sound application. 2. They are thin as you can get with absolutely zero bass response. If you have a subwoofer, fine. But by themselves, I wouldn't ever buy these again.
Under 30 BUCKS March 19, 2004 How can you complain for under 30 bucks .. Great for outdoor use. NO they are not Klipsch but they are 30 BUCKS. I would recommend they for anyone wanting an inexpensive speaker.
