5 out of 5 stars Great sound at a great price!   October 22, 2004

Logic 3 has come up with an excellent solution for iPod users with these speakers! I purchased these a few weeks ago so I could enjoy/share music with friends that come over for poker night (these are also pretty portable if you do any traveling).

There is good sound quality and best of all it can charge and sync while sitting in the cradle (all the necessary cables are included). Check this one out, you wont be disappointed!

5 out of 5 stars Fits iPod Photo!   January 8, 2005

This is a product as cool, compact, smart, and portable as my iPod Photo 40GB. It's hard to find portable speakers that mate properly with the slightly thicker Photo model. The unit also ships with slot adapters for other iPod and mini models, and a blank adapter for non-docking iPods and other products.

Aside from that, the whole system is well-designed. It folds flat for transporting, and has a clear plastic cover that protects the speakers when folded, and helps support the iPod when opened. There are also little blue lights on either side of the iPod, which would probably be cool if you plan to use your I-Station in the dark.

There are connections (and supplied cables) for firewire and USB, so you can actually sync your iPod while it is in the unit. There is also a line-in port (and cable) and an AC adapter. The unit will run on batteries if you like, but I haven't used it that way, so I won't comment.

The sound is as good as can be expected from such a small unit, but it does have some usable bass, which is more than I thought it would have. Using the iPod's built-in EQ seems to help this as well. The "3D" feature boosts the treble a bit, but I haven't really noticed any other differences. The volume is more than adequate for most purposes, and would be fine for hotel rooms, offices, etc.

Overall, I am very happy with this product, and would recommend it to others. Like the iPod itself, it serves the purpose well.

5 out of 5 stars Well designed speakers   December 6, 2005

Very much worth the money, especially at Amazon's current sale price which is well below Best Buy or Circuit City. It sounds excellent considering its small size and is well thought out. It folds for easy transport and is protected by a clear plastic cover. When opened up that same cover is reversed and provides a secure place for the IPod to lean against. Charges while you are listening thru batteries or wall socket. With it you don't need the overpriced Apple wall plug adapter or dock.

5 out of 5 stars For the Price and the Purpose ... An Outstanding Product.   March 29, 2005

Keyword --> Portable.

4 x AA Batteries and this Speaker Dock Station goes anywhere while providing reasonable sound quality for the size.

It isn't going to fill a concert hall with sound, but it will do a fine job in an office cube, a hotel room, the kitchen, or the backyard deck.

The only negative is that I wish the Dock Station Power button also turned the iPod On or Off.

Speakers ... Support cables ... and iPod Recharger for $80 bucks. This thing is a steal.

5 out of 5 stars Great sound, functionality, & value!   January 3, 2005

This thing only cost me $80 online, much less than the competing brands, & it also had more power. Although the Bose system is great, it costs way too much. I didn't like the Altec ones because although I thought the neodynium speakers were neat, I wanted something with a bit more "oomph" instead of just small 1-inch speakers. This piece has the neodynium speakers, PLUS a 6-watt woofer, which makes for pretty good bass from a small portable system. The I-station also comes with all the adaptors & cable/adaptors that you would ever need, for syncing & charging & connecting to other audio devices. I love this thing! the only thing missing is a remote, but for this price I don't need one.
