Great TV! ...at an even greater price! November 30, 2007 Buddy of mine purchased the same set at Howards for $1,600, so when I saw the price dip down to $1,340 I couldnt pass it up. I couldnt be more pleased! The picture is excellent and the colors are magnificent. Setup was a breeze, as soon as I plugged in the hdmi from my satelite recvr it recognized it and was ready to go.
Delivery was great to, they even helped me set it up. My xbox 360 looks amazing, jamming out to rock band on this beast is such a treat!
At first I was worried it may be too big but I'm used to it now and it feels like I'm in my very own movie theatre. You simply can not beat the deal on this tv, best bang for your buck without a doubt... I'm very pleased.
Amazing December 27, 2007 Ive had this tv for about a month now..its amazing, blu ray is an incredible experience
Great TV, but... January 8, 2008 Happy with the TV, however, I am a "noise-person". The littlest noises can drive me crazy, and this TV made a low hum from the day we bought it. Actually tried to bring it back, but through many problems with Conn's (don't shop there!), we ended up keeping it. Did some looking around on the internet and apparently this hum is common with Mitsubishi TVs. It has something to do with the color wheel technology they use. Anyways, I can zone the hum out when watching shows, so I can live with it. Some people don't even notice the noise until it's pointed out. Besides, the picture quality is great, and it was very inexpensive for such a large size. If you think you may have a problem with the low hum, make sure you know about the return policy wherever you buy it from... including any restocking fees.
A lot of TV for the money February 14, 2008 I've been waiting to decide which way to go, LCD or Plasma for over a year now. When I saw this DLP I was sceptical about the technology, picture, and quality. Could a DLP compare to LCD or plasma? I was blown away by the picture not to mention the price was half what LCD/Plasmas cost. My 57" Mitsubishi is wonderful. The only thing negative and it is a minor issue is the sound is somewhat "tinny". This thing should have an external speaker system. (I suppose that is also true of any large LCD/Plasma/DLP tv.) I wouldn't trade my Mitsubishi for anything else on the market...except for maybe the 63 or 73" model of the same.
Mitsubishi Scraping the Bottom! February 28, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Mitsubishi once positioned itself on the upper scale of quality video and television products. No more. It's questionable if their DLP sets can genuinely produce a 1080p picture as advertised and their customer service and customer relations is pure garbage. Don't touch this or any other Mitsubishi Television product with a 10-pole. You'll be taken and you'll be sorry. Sony, Samsung and Sharp offer superior products and customer service. Mitsubishi has fallen to the bottom of the heap.
