No Regrets Here January 4, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Every time I send the wife to the spa I pop in my favorite movie in 7.1 surround for some house shaking. These babies can take full volume at 135 watts peak per channel, and they sound great! I compensated for the slightly high tweeter output by adding the Klipsch 1000 watt kicker, which for $599 is the best value on Amazon.
Klipsch ist die shiznit May 15, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After MUCH hesitation I finally bought this set. Having heard so much praise for the Klipsch brand I had decided I wanted to get on the bandwagon, but but at an entry-level expense. Initially I wasn't ready to spend a grand on traditional, full-size speakers... however, things have changed. If these tiny satellites are any indication of what their larger counterparts are capable of I will absolutely spend that $1000+ when the time comes to upgrade.
When I first began researching speakers I simply couldn't get over the fact that tiny speakers could deliver big sound. Rest assured, these Quintets do a decent job, they are every bit as loud as the Onkyo speakers I replaced and far superior in clarity and robustness.
I have these speakers paired up with a Yamaha 661. I'm using 2 of the Quintets as the surrounds, and a separate set of Polks as the sub-surrounds in my 7.1 setup. Listening to TrueHD and Master Audio (via my ps3) has been pure joy, and I'm hearing enough of a difference that I will probably pick up a third set of quintets to replace the Polks, and eventually the KSW-12" subwoofer.
Amazing September 25, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got a KWS-15 sub to go with these on a Kenwood receiver. I absolutely love these speakers and everything is still working flawlessly today, I use it as my primary computer speaker setup now since in 2005 I upgraded the home theater setup to full size floor standing Klipsch speakers from their Reference series. Absolutely amazing. These speakers aren't ideal without a subwoofer though, but with one they are amazing. I have never had these speakers distort at the volume levels I have been able to take them to in my area. They do get loud. Each speaker is pretty heavy also compared to other speakers this size. Quality.
There is nothing better out there for sure. January 28, 2007 2 out of 12 found this review helpful
This German company specializes in making computer speakers. How can you go wrong?? The sound will blow you away...just try screaming over them. The only thing you should be worried about is your monitor cracking.
Superb sound!!! March 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought these speakers on sale for $199.00 and am blown away by the sound quality. I have them running through an Onkyo TX-SR505 that I also bought on this site and am very pleased. I also added a simple Sony 100watt sub I recieved from my brother and cannot believe the quality and clarity of sound you get from such small speakers. The system is set up in a room 15x15 and is more than ample in performance. My brother came into town this weekend when I was setting the system up and he said it easily compares to the system he has set up in his basement with Bose speakers. I do not claim to be an audio aficionado, but I do appreciate good music and home theater experiences. If you are looking for a great mid level surround system sound, than these speakers are for you. An absoulte steal at $199.00!!!
