I have been in the market for several months for a new home theater after we moved into a new house. To get my old unit's rear speakers to the back of the room would be a big undertaking and I am not ready to do that just now. So it came down to a wireless rear speaker system or just a 2 front speaker system like the 3-2-1 Bose. I read all reviews--half loved the wireless and half said they did not work. Ended up deciding to try the Sony DAV-HDX576WF. I am extemely satisfied with the system. The wireless speakers never have interference and sound great. (With the caveat--obviously they don't have the sound like my son's built in the ceiling $3000 speakers/system that shake the room). But for my needs they work perfect and I highly recommend the system.

I am very pleased with the sound quality and feature set this system offers. I did a lot of research on home theater systems and this one seemed to be a good value. The remote listening unit is very cool. I can listen my ipod ( or radio or tv) that is hooked up to the main unit while i am in my bedroom. The wireless rear speakers also work great. Set up was easy and the included mic lets you set up your speakers quickly.
The one down side I see is the lack of audio inputs. I have a PS2, PS3, and cable box. The Sony unit only has one optical and one coax digital input. Not enough for all my stuff.

I have researched several different Home theater System, and found this one to be a real value for money, I am not into the technical data but basically understands that this one gives you 1000w of total power, which should be more than enough for your home, it also comes with wireless speakers which will be helpful if you don't want leads running across your room, and you can place speakers in different rooms so that you can hear the sounds from the same room, this is the best value for money and you are also going to recieve speaker stands.
 It is OK for 500 but the delivery was FAST!!! June 20, 2008
Although I am still struggling a little with the "S" unit (I still can't make it work), the system is delivering. Sound is clear and powerful but I gotta be honest: I expected the rear speakers to be more powerful/loud ( no matter the source or the sound mode, you can barely hear them). Anyways, it arrived FAST. I bought it a Tuesday night and it was delivered on Thursday!!!

WE HAVE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PRODUCT. THE PRODUCT WOULD HAVE COST ME MORE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PICK UP. THE VENDOR DID NOT CHARGE A DELIVERY CHARGE AND WAS VERY REPUTABLE. THE PRODUCT WAS DELIVERED IN PRESTINE CONDITION AND IS BEING ENJOYED OFTEN. AMAZON DOES A GREAT JOB AT SCREANING THEIR VENDORS, UNLIKE OTHERS, AND THIS ONE WAS CERTAINLY TOP NOTCH.
