I love this projector. The picture is great on my wall -- I don't even use a screen. I've got windows in my room, but with the blinds closed the picture is still decent.
I concur with the limitations mentioned by others: Lens cap is practically useless, and the way the picture is angled upward from the projector it forces you to set the projector low. Also there is no native way to tilt the back end of the projector to lower the picture. The optical image shift will lower it a bit but soon begins cutting off part of the picture.
I do have a problem with getting a headache from the DLP if I watch it for too long.
Even with these minor problems, I am still loving this projector.

Have this projector for about 3 weeks now after much review and online searching. The 1000 lumens on this projector was a bit of a worry before i actually tried it out on 720P. With up to 4000 contrast ratio this projector is more than I ever expected. I am very satisfied with this Optoma Home Theater version for just under $1000.00
I mostly use it on my xbox 360 running at HD 720P...(with the games that support 720P that is). Its a whole new way of seeing the xbox 360 games.
I highly recommend the HD70 for those who wants to jump to HD on a budget.

I felt this gives great quality and the BEST picture on your WALL. Just imagine if you have pull down screen. Easy to setup and works like a charm. I was able to watch movie CARS within 10 min after I opened the box. The best part of it is portable. I could able to setup on my entertainment center or computer desk.

I am very satisfied with this unit and would recommend it to anyone. Using simply a standard DVD unit with "upconvert" technology provides a beautiful viewing experience. It is even better with an HD DVD unit. The lens cap fits poorly - but this is a small price to pay - and besides I never have it on anyways. I really did nothing in the way of adjustment except focus the unit and zoom it in until my 92" screen was filled with the image.
