5 out of 5 stars These are great!   June 1, 2008

I bought these binoculars with high hopes. We have a diverse bird population in our backyard and have gone through several "cheap" pairs that have all ended up lost or rained on. I have 2 kids who like to take them exploring, etc. There is always the possibility that they will end up outside. We also like to fish, canoe, etc. where there is also the chance of getting wet. So, the fact that these were waterproof/fogproof was a big selling point for me. So far, they have survived a fishing trip where we tried to spot some bald eagles to no avail, and numerous trips outside. They work great. Simple as that.

We bought these from the Gold Box and we are enjoying them very much. They are small and easy to hold and the magnification was perfect for our deck bird watching. We are looking forward to taking them to the beach. I would recommend these to a friend.

3 out of 5 stars Decent Binoculars   September 24, 2008

I got these when they were the gold box deal of the day. They're certainly made cheaply and I wouldn't recommend them for more than $50. But for the price they're 'ok'. I'm by no means a 'binocular expert', but for my limited use (vacations, sporting events), they're more than adequate. Probably bird watchers and hunters would want a higher quality binocular.I agree with the other reviewer, the lens caps didn't stay on. It's definitely the far lower end of what Bushnell makes.

1 out of 5 stars Most horrible binoculars   August 9, 2008

Never had a problem with Bushnell, but could not get an image with these, and had to return them.

4 out of 5 stars Perfect set for all-purpose use   December 3, 2008
Living in southern California, I've found no end of usefulness to these binoculars. I've used them to scout waves at the beach, figure out which skiing run is less crowded, looking for a clear rock face to climb, hunting out a good camping spot in the desert, or just looking for a better view of a baseball game.

I used to borrow a friend's pair all the time until eventually I broke down and bought one of my own. It's a great product that hasn't let me down yet, and has stood up to endless abuse (kicked through the sand, dropped in the water and worse).
