1 out of 5 stars Not compatible with Toshiba E740   May 31, 2003

I bought the card because it said that it is compatible with PDA.
I first had some troubles with transfer large files. Then had trouble with backup(back-up) of the Toshiba E740 pocket PC.
After chatting with Toshiba online support, suggesting that I check the compatibility, I went to the Sandisk's website, and then found out that the SD 128 MB (619659015947/B000068CS0)doesn't compatible with Toshiba product. What a problem. Hope that help.

1 out of 5 stars Does not work with Sharp Zaurus   September 8, 2002

DO NOT buy this if you want to use it with a Sharp Zaurus -- if you check the Zaurus newsgroups, you'll find that this card does not work with that great little PDA. It will mount once, then if you turn the machine off or eject the card it will never be mountable again. It's not clear if this is a problem with the SD card or the Zaurus, but it is clear you should use a different brand...

1 out of 5 stars Would be great if it worked   December 13, 2002

I started using these cards a few months ago. Bought two of them. They were a lot cheaper than those from Lexar, Simple, etc. However, you get what you pay for.

I first found out how bad these cards are when I bought a Sharp Zaurus. Apparently Sandisk does something funky in the hardware on these cards that keeps them from behaving like everyone else's cards. Whatever they have done keeps it from working on the Zaurus.

While looking through some other products here , I am now seeing that they are not working on things such as the Toshiba e740 (which I also own). The card seemed to work on mine, but only half way. I had been attributing problems to the PC2002 OS on it. Turns out I was a bit mistaken.

So, if you can get this card to work in your device, good luck to you. If you can't, get rid of the card and buy something from another manufacturer.

3 out of 5 stars Warning for Zaurus users!!   July 16, 2002

The previous review specifically mentions using the Sandisk 128MB SD card with the Zaurus 5500. Apparently Sandisk changed the wait-state requirements on the new 128MB Sandisk cards, which will NOT work in the Zaurus. Email to Zaurus support confirms this, but they claim to be working on a ROM upgrade to fix the issue, rumored to be out in August 2002. Currently Zaurus tech people tell customers that Sandisk cards up to 64MB and other vendors cards up to 256MB are supported. Zauruszone.com has many tales of woe from people who, like me, took a chance on getting a working version and were disappointed.
