5 out of 5 stars Works as expected   August 12, 2008

If you have an Olympus camera, you unfortunately need an Olympus brand card to unlock some features such as the panorama functionality. This isn't a technical limitation (technically all brands cards are the same) but the camera looks at the serial # on the card to know if it's Olympus brand or not.

Since it's an "Type H" card, it's fast enough for high quality video on most cameras. 640x480 to be exact, which is pretty much SD. It's actually surprisingly good on my camera. You can get about 20min on a 2GB card.

The M+ is faster than the regular M cards, and cheaper than the H. Not to mention it's available in 2GB (which I haven't seen much of for the H version in the US). Making it a pretty good buy.

The M+ is clearly the better buy of the xd-Picture cards... though xd-Picture is somewhat inferior to other card formats. But unless you buy a new camera you can't do much about that.

Make sure your camera is compatible with M+ (most 2GB M and H compatible cameras are fine) by checking on the camera manufacturer's website. Even if your camera's older than the M+ cards, it will likely still work.

4 out of 5 stars Xd flash memory   June 18, 2008

Unfortunately Olympus is using this rare format so card was a Must for newly bought camera (camera coming without any).
High capacity ,speed & good performance /price ratio are advantages .

5 out of 5 stars ABSULUTELY A MUST OWN   August 2, 2008

Never seen a better performance upgrade of any kind, that gave me speed and the option to save more pictures faster, than with this card. This is compared to a "normal" XD card. The memory size of 2Gb is a great thing for the newer digital cameras, which can take pictures of 8 Mb or more.

Cost price for this faster memory card is just where it should be. Doesn't cost a lot more than a slower memory card. This card is a MUST OWN.

4 out of 5 stars enables longer video recording   August 23, 2008

Not a whole lot faster than regular M, so it's still slower than other formats. The advantage that this has over H is that it enables certain Olympus cameras to record videos for longer than 10 seconds at the highest quality setting.

3 out of 5 stars Slow performance   August 24, 2008

This is my 3rd memory card which I bought for my Olympus Digital Camera. The other two are 512MB H XD and 8GB microSD. I bought this card so that I could shoot Videos in VGA mode upto 30fps. I am a bit disappointed because it can store only 2GB (thats max available) and is very slow in perfomance (sometimes takes upto 45sec to store a photo in Scene mode).
