Interface slow and difficult to use, corrupted my memory card May 27, 2008 3 out of 9 found this review helpful
The interface, while a touchscreen on the front of the frame (vs. buttons on the back of the frame as in others) is difficult to navigate as I could not easily move from screens where I was selecting photos to upload from my memory card to the function which allows you to upload. Should be one button, maybe two to navigate but is not straightforward. The user's manual is unclear, too. It also corrupted my memory card. The wall plug accidentally came unplugged while I had the memory card in the digital fram and upon plugging back in and turning on the frame, it now appears the memory card has no more files on it. And now, having placed it back in my digital camera it appears it has no more files, nor is it capable to creating files. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST THIS PRODUCT.
It's great for the price and beats bestbuy August 31, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great product. Takes time to learn to use. Has one weakness, after you set pics and sound in motion, it's hard to stop less shutting it off. But hey,....who cares. Let it run.
Great picture but... September 20, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
For the month it actually worked, I liked it even though it has some "minor" flaws. The interface is a bit quirky, and as others suggested, the random functions (both picture order and transitions) were anything but dependable.
Its best attribute was the display. Unfortunately, that asset stopped working and it's now indefinitely stuck in torch mode (each pixel is at max brightness).
Oh well, it was nice for its short life span and I would have rated it higher if I spent $10.00 for it. But since this unit is $200.00, I'll give it the single brightly lit star that it is.
Great Gift September 8, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this frame for my dad's birthday and he loves it! He uses it to display pictures from his cruise, which is very convenient because so many people have asked to see pictures. It was also about $40 cheaper on Amazon than it was a the store.
Terrible September 7, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not easy to work at all. Neither uploading pictures or using the touch screen. Instructions are awful. Not helpful at all. Trying to download new software is difficult. Definitely not for a novice. Will be returning this.
