Complete kit with everything you need! December 23, 2008

I've owned this item since May 2007 - when I first acquired the Bose Wave machine. First I must say that after years of listening to commercials about the Bose Wave, I was NOT let down - the dynamic sound this machine produces must be heard to be appreciated. At the same time I bought the Wave machine, I also purchased this docking kit for my MP3 player, BUT, being the part-time idiot I can be, I purchased it under the mistaken belief that "iPod" was a generic term that could mean "any and all" MP3 player - including my Sony. Well, as I learned, any informed ten year old can tell you - a Sony MP3 player, is NOT an iPod, so - in all honesty - this kit does NOT and will NOT work for my Sony MP3 player, so all persons MUST take this under consideration while reading what I have to say about this product. While not being able to say that I've put this product to actual use, I believe the observations I can make, are STILL valid. Plus, I think that my experience, being an owner of MANY other Bose products, permit me to say that this product's actual performance can be expected to be of a similiar high quality. I can also say that this kit comes extremely complete, with everything and more, that a person would need to do the job for which it is intended. Not only does it come with an Apple remote for the iPod, there is a second Bose remote that will control BOTH the Wave Machine AND the iPod - actually eliminating the need for the first remote. I'm not sure why it was done this way, except maybe that the Apple remote comes inside the iPod adapter kit, that is included as part of the overall package. Also included are the various wires and cables necessary to hook up your iPod to the Wave Macine. It's pretty straightforward, and there's not a lot that can be said other than it is VERY complete, and everything is high quality - you get what you pay for, and there is nothing "cheesy" about this product. I apologize for having the nerve to submit a review without having actually used my adapter kit, but I believe it's safe for me to say that everything I have ever owned, that was manufactured by Bose, has ALWAYS worked quite well, has NEVER let me down or disappointed me, and has ALWAYS been of the highest quality - so believing that to be true, it's easy for me to comment on the kit and it's contents. The basic function of this adapter kit is pretty simple, it enables a person to play their iPod through their Bose Wave Machine - it either works, or it doesn't, and I've yet to see a Bose product that doesn't work, and work quite well.
