great idea, stunningly bad performance - Remote is useless in the real world October 16, 2008 Bought for use on a motorcycle. Keep the ipod in a pock and use the remote on my arm over my jacket.
It is worthless. 85% percent of the time no reaction from my ipod when I press buttons on the remote. If the remote and ipod are sitting on my desk about 3 inches or less apart performance goes up to around 30-40% which is pointless. If they have to be that close together why use a remote.
I paid full price for it and am bummed. This thing is useless.
Belkin sports command Wireless control for iPod May 22, 2008 The controller works just as advertised. I bought it specifically to use with gloves, such as riding a motorcycle, yard work, etc. The buttons are very easy to engage with gloves on. It interfaces perfectly with my iPod classic, something older accessories do not fair so well at. Other accessories I have do not interact with the Pause/Play button well, but no troubles with this controller. I would absolutely by this product again. I can keep my iPod in a safe location and access all the buttons I need. It was also shipped very quickly by Warehouse Deals, inc.
Monster iEZClick is MUCH better March 25, 2008 I got this one and my roommate got the Monster remote, and I can attest to all the other complaints people have about this product. Poor design, zero feedback when you press a button so you can't even tell if you're doing something, except for the "little green light" which is completely invisible in any light except near total darkness. Even if you CAN see the light blink, indicating a successful transmission, 90% of the time the device does nothing. Doesn't work well in cold or any other inclement weather. It's as though they designed something specifically to frustrate people. I bought this when it was $80, and now I see that it's $60 which is still completely outrageous, since this thing can't cost more than $10 to make.
My roommate's Monster iEZClick has never once given him a problem. Don't buy Belkin -- they make junk products.
Serious control problems October 14, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like others who've written a review for this mine doesn't work well. You push the buttons as hard as you can and sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't...it's completely random and it does seem to get worse the longer you're out in the snow.
Never Really Worked April 12, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Once I opened the box and tried it out the Play button did not work. Only things I could get to work was the volume. After using for about 2 hours the volume stopped working. When it was working you really had to touch he right spot to get it to work, which sucks when boarding down a mountain with gloves on.
