as advertised August 23, 2007 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
pretty neat. Sounds really complicated to program but it's not. I like it better than the TV-b-gone, which only turns tvs on or off. It's worth it if you use it (and take advantage of the free shipping over 25)
no good January 3, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am very tech savvy, and I could not get this product to program.
I went through the steps, programed it, the light blinked twice as stated it would. Tried to use it and it does not work. I tried it four times.
You might as well take a twenty dollar bill and throw it out your car window. This is not even worth the effort to return it. I thought Amazon was beyond selling worthless products like this. You need to check them out before you sell them. RJTimcoe URC MINI Remote-n-Go Mini Keychain Remote
Further Instructions/ Help June 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The R2 MiNi is a very fun and entertaining toy to play with, use as a cheap replacement remote, and to prank your friends or strangers. When I first tried the R2 MiNi I followed the instructions word for word on 5 different televisions and it did not work. I realized after reviewing the instructions again, that in step 3 where it says "Point the remote towards the device and press CH+ or CH- with single button presses" that you need to press/hold the channel button until the television shuts off, then press TV or CBL/SAT. The reason for this is when you press CH+ or CH-, it is not some kind of code, but a way to scan for the particular type of IR Code that your television has. I hope my explanation was clear enough to understand. Enjoy your R2 MiNi Remote Controls.
A piece of junk February 10, 2008 I agree with Ronald Timcoe. I,too am tech savvy & this thing did not work as described. You're supposed to press the TV or cable button & the button light is supposed to stay on while you use the channel button to search for the TV or cablebox code. That didn't happen. Both button lights would flash when pressed & then go out when released. When you searched with the channel button only the TV button would flash even if you tried programming it for the cable box. The remote NEVER DID find a code. I spent about 10" pressing the search button while watching TV. This remote actually got a positive review from [...]. Apparently they got one that worked. I did find out from this site [...] that this remote has been discontinued & is no longer avaiable.
Works like a champ!!! February 13, 2008 Replaced a Sony half working remote which had trouble with sound and with mute as well as power button. This does everything the Sony remote cannot any longer do. It works perfectly at a really inexpenive cost.
