Product Description The RCA brand of Universal Remote Controls combines ease of use with advanced features to make your entertainment experience as simple as possible. RCA's extensive line of remotes allows you to choose from an array of styles, features, benefits and prices, which is why the RCA brand is the leader in the remote control industry. This remote controls TV, VCR and Cable Box. The universal remote is pre-programmed to operate most RCA equipment, and is easily set up with the touch of a few buttons, either through manual entry of a product code or Code Search, which searches the code library for you.

Fairly pleased March 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works well enough, but some of the controls are odd. For instance one button is used to turn on the tv ("TV"), while an entirely different one is used to turn it off ("Power"). Also, it is not very compatible with the RCA TV's that include the "Guide Plus" menu. There is no menu button, no exit button, and no guide button, so it is always interesting to try to clear the guide screen once the TV is turned on, and once it is cleared it is impossible to bring it back up with out turning the tv off then on again.
I was able to find my signal well though and have not had any connectivity problems, so it does its job. Overall, I'd say it is as expected for an $8 remote and you would probably get your money's worth, especially if you don't have a guide menu or anything like that. Oh and a caveat, I did not try it with a DVD player or Cable box or anything like that, so I couldn't tell you how it works as far as those electronics go.
Not as pictured February 29, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was looking for a systemlink 3 universal remote which I need to go with our old tv. It is model RCU 300 and looks exactly as pictured and exactly what I needed. And was shown in stock. It will work features that are special to my old 2000 rca TV. RCA 3-Device Remote (RCU 300) Instead you send me an R300X which I could have found at several stores and will not do what I need. You should have indicated if you were going to substitute! This one will not even do previous channel on this TV. Too bad. I was really excited about this find. Everyone beware on this one. You are evidently not necessarily going to get what is pictured. I have purchased many things through Amazon in the past but now I will hesitate in the future knowing al things are not as presented.
pretty much useless, worked with an RCA TV only October 10, 2006 I got this, supposedly universal, remote about a year ago, planned to use with my TV and DVD. The TV was an old RCA, but the DVD player was Lasonic (which is no brand). The remote worked well with the TV, but never with the DVD player, although I tried all types of code searches. After the old TV broke, the remote didn't work with a new JVC combo. Well, almost a year later I got a new Akai LCD TV and decided to try it with this remote. Well, although Akai is listed a supported brand, I couldn't find the right code again. I am not shy with the technology, so this remote was just bummer.. should I throw it away?
RCA Universal TV remote control July 21, 2008 As I have written before on this product..once again I will repeat myself. The "PRE CH" does not work. This is a faulty product.
