Great Bass! August 14, 2008 These are great earbuds. I first got them out of the box, put the foam coverings on, and it sounded like i was surrounded by speakers. They have excellent sound quality and the bass is too good for words. They are also somewhat noise canceling which is a great bonus. Why would you pay more when these are just as good as the $50 ones?
Better than some $50 headphones October 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought some $50 headphones and returned them because they didn't sound that great. Then I bought these and they sound way better. They also fit good and stay in my ears. The ones that came with my mp3 player are the same style but don't stay in my ears... I can't really explain why. I am very happy with these $10 headphones from Phillips!
I could have been happier October 9, 2008 I'm not an audiophile at all, so I can't say anything about the sound quality of these headphones, but what I can talk about is their design. The major flaws that I found were:
1. The always, ALWAYS got tangled whenever I set them down. I often had no idea how. But somehow, they would be tied in knots whenever I picked them up. I think it's a problem of the material they're made of.
2. The design of the earpieces is not uncomfortable, but the hook-like quality makes it snag on all sorts of things. whatever was in my purse, clothes, the benches in the Madrid metro...
3. But, probably as a result of the first two failings, the left ear-bud stopped working one day, two months after buying them. I know I didn't buy them to last forever, but I think 2 months is too short a lifespan even for a $10 pair of headphones.
Again, I don't know about the audio quality of this product, but, from a standpoint of practicality, I would recommend Gummy headphones instead (link below) They don't have any of these problems, they come in more colors, and I even find them more comfortable. Just a suggestion!
JVC HAF130G Portable Gummy Earbud Headphones ( Green )
Had these for less than 60 days..... November 28, 2008 The only reason I picked this item was because of the price. The sound is ok on them but these headphones wont last if for everyday use.
Best earbuds I've ever owned November 29, 2008 Every other set of earphones I've owned eventually gets an awful crackly sound. Especially ipod earbuds. Does anyone know what that sound is? I'm happy to report that these $8 buds still sound good after several months of use. A new record for me!
Very comfortable too!
