 Sound XTC earphones - earbuds December 3, 2007

I looked at a lot of earbuds for me Zune 30gb mp3 player, I had ordered a pair by another company and then noticed these and thought I would try them for 2 reasond, I liked the fact they are made of something other then plastic and they looked really clean and thoughfuly built. They came today, great service from a new company to Amazon, took only a couple of days, shipping was more then fair, and after using them for several hours with the medium size soft rubber ends found them to be of excellent sound quality and the fit is great! I listen to all kinds of music from county to crooners etc, so I put them to the test. The base is outstanding and the fact I could hardly hear the phone ring a few feet from me says they will be good at noise canceling. Many choices of styles at a great price, will keep me coming back. Jimmy

I thought it was a gamble buying these earphones, since it is a new brand, and there weren't many reviews... I'm glad I took the chance.
These earphones are simply great. First, they block out most ambient sound, leaving you alone to enjoy you music (this is especially useful when you have to deal with noisy buses every day). Not only that, the sound is excellent. It's clean, crisp, balanced... I'm no audiophile, but I do appreciate good sound, and when you can clearly distinguish all the instruments in a song I'd say you have some prettty decent sounding earphones.
The earphones look and feel well finished, solid and durable. The cable feels pretty durable too, it's long enough and strangely tangles up very little.
Overall this is an excellent product, and I'm sure I'll keep them for quite a while. The only thing in my mind is which Sound-squared earphones I'm buying next :D

I am really picky when it comes to headphones, but I think these are a pretty good deal. They surprised me with their solid construction and excellent cord. I switched the gummy insert to another one and found a good fit quickly. I really like the all metal shell.
I have 2 gripes with them, otherwise they would be perfect. First off, even after the burn in period the treble is a bit to shrill and the bass could be a bit deeper. Overall the sound is damn good though for the price. The other main issue I have is the position of the jack on the cord. It is not a good idea to have straight cords because after time the cord ends up breaking and wearing out.
Besides those two minor issues I would recommend these to anyone.

these things are better than i imagined! they totally block out all the surounding sounds and deliver a crisp and powerful sound. Also, they look sick!! They are encase in metal and feel very comfortable in my ears. These are great quality headphones for the $$$$$ !!!!!!!!!!

I looked around for sometime trying to find reasonably priced, comfortable earbuds and I finally found them. These came with the different sized earpieces so it's easy to find the right size that fits you. They are comfortable, I wore them for hours on long bus trips and they didn't bother my ears at all like the ones that came with my iPod. The sound was good on the apple ones, but after about 3 minutes I found myself haveing to make sure they were not falling out of my ears and after about 7 minutes they were already making my ears hurt because they were to big. The Sound Squared earbuds are light weight, they fit, and are very comfortable and they sound great aswell. They only thing that I was not pleased about is the fact that the cable is not angled where you actully plug it in to your device, It is just straight. I am a little concerned that it might develope a weak spot in the wire because of this. I've just tried to be carefull and not cause any extra stress to the wire. Also not to pleased that the wire is so long, once again more margine for weak spots developing in the wire. Other than that very pleased with the earbuds and I thought they were very resonably priced as well.
