My first noise cancelling headphones May 14, 2007 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
These are my first, so I really don't know how they compare to other noise cancelling headphones. What I can say, is that they reduce ambient noise noticeably, enough for me to work in a loud office without hearing my co-workers when the music is on. They are comfortable on me, but I do have a small head. I could see how they could be uncomfortably snug on anyone larger. They fold nicely, and they look pretty solid.
OK for the money... September 10, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Decent sound quality although I have noticed some slight buzz when no sound. There is pretty good noise isolation from the pads even without the canceling switched on. Not super comfortable for long wear, the band across the top of the head has a plastic pivot for the hinge and tends to sit right on the top of your head with no padding. Also the plastic on the head band/hinge feels a little cheap, I will be interested to see how long they hold up... *Update* Buzzing only happens when plugged into a PC. With iPod or speakers sound is more than adequate.
HUUUMMMMMM!!!!!!! October 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The sound quality and the size is fine if you just want to listen to your tunes with them. The bad thing is that when you turn the "sound cancelling" thing on, there is a very noticeable hum. Are they trying to conceal the outside noise with inside noise???!!!
Amazing December 3, 2007 These are amazing headphones!!! It's comfortable, clean, really works as noise canceller and also beautiful!!!
Recommend!
Works Well! December 9, 2007 I bought these to try for noisy bus rides associated with my work. There is a definite difference when they're turned on versus using them as regular headphones. Sometimes, I have even used them strictly to cancel noise instead of listening to anything and have also used them without power. Either way, I am impressed. Comfort level is okay and they fold into a pouch (included). The single battery lasts a long time as long as you don't leave the switch on when not in use. This is of competitive quality with some much more expensive models and I really got a lot more than I expected for this price. Especially as they are considered "portable" headphones.
