i bought this very pair from rite-aid for $9.00, and it's surprisingly good. I don't know how this compares to others (i'm not a big earbuds fan), but i didn't regret buying it.
it sounds better than the one that came with my rio carbon pearl.

For a sub $10 pair of ear buds, you can't complain too much. They have lasted longer than my Sony, have better sensitivity, but the absence of bass is driving to larger and more costly solutions.
For sub $10 and if you don't care to get a large amount of trouble with little bass, this is your pair.

sounded really good but lasted me 2 months! left ear stopped working after that!

I have the Sennheiser MX400 earbuds, and I have these. These sound about as good as the Sennheiser earbuds that I have, but cost about half as much.
