Product Description JVC's popular and colorful Gumy headphones are now more colorful and more comfortable than ever. The new Gumy (model HA-F130) sports a color-matching cord and has been redesigned with a soft rubber smaller body to be more comfortable and to fit more snugly. Other improvements include a slightly shortened cord - from 3.9 to 3.3 feet - so they're more manageable when used with a portable digital audio player.

Great sound for a great price! July 15, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These ear buds are a little more comfortable than most other hard plastic ear buds, but what is best is they sound great! I have a hard time with earbuds this size due to small ears, so I have tried a lot of brands and styles. They were not the perfect fit for me, but it's almost worth the slight discomfort (your mileage may vary) my weird ears give me for the sound. They're reasonable too, so you can't go wrong.
I have pairs of Earbuds that cost much more that sound significantly inferior.
Good earbuds for a low price. October 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased these coconut white portable gummy earbuds from my school's book store after my blue ones malfunctioned. The earbuds have a rubbery like feel to them, as their name implies and is very durable. Their sound quality is decent for their low price, and they last about 3-5 months if handled in the appropriate manner. While these earbuds are cheap, however, so is their overall design. Sometimes, when placed into the ear for extended periods of time, the outer ear canal begins to hurt. They also produce lesser sound quality when one aims to prevent this pain by placing it on another area of the outer ear.
I buy these Earbuds because they are much cheaper than the majority of my school's other brands, but I would not readily recommend them.
Cute, Sounds Great, But Uncomfortable! August 9, 2007 *** This earbuds are as cute as could be, sound great, and are durable, but are very, very uncomfortable. I can only wear mine for about a half hour before they begin to hurt and after an hour I have to take them out---then that's it for the whole day. They are a somewhat soft rubber on the outside but the inside is hard plastic; they are comparable in quality to the earbuds that come with iPod nanos. For the price they are adequate, but you can spend about the same or a bit more and get earbuds that are all this and that you can wear for longer as well.
I ended up buying some "Koss "The Plug" Portable Headphones" for under $20 and can wear them all day; I would recommend something like this instead.
I do like the colors that these earbuds come in, but they are more than an accessory for me and have to be usable as well. The sound quality is just fine for a cheaper ear bud---no complaints here.
Mine often fall out because they do not change their shape to accommodate your ear; your ear must change shape to fit this earbud, hence the discomfort. ***
COMFORTABLE AND THEY FIT, SOUND QUALITY IS SUPERB!!! April 28, 2008 I have tried just about every brand and price for earbud style earphones. In addition, I have tiny ears and it is hard to find earphones that stay in my ear and do not fall out. (Only this brand and the new Sony headphones fit my ears) Most earphones are too large and HURT my ears. These are 5 star rated because: 1) The best sound quality I have heard both in BASS AND TREBLE, and all sounds in between. I use these for: AUDIOBOOKS, MUSIC and PODCAST SHOWS. All types of these have superior sound using these earphones. 2) They are so so comfortable and do not fall out of my ears. 3) They are used for jogging and speedwalking and other exercising. They stay in my ears. 4) They are used for traveling and are lightweight and comfortable and store easily in my purse with my MP3 player or CD/MP3 player. SUPERB PRODUCT!
Good But... September 27, 2008 I purchased two more of these to go with a black pair that I already had when my Apple earbuds gave out on one side. My previous pair I usually keep in my personal laptop bag for when I travel, as I'm notorious for forgetting mine when I travel. I can't begin to tell you how many really cheap earbuds I have purchased over the years.
I liked the JVC Gumys because the rubbery covering helps keep it in my ear, which is the biggest grip I had with the original Apple earbuds. However, as I only used them on travel I didn't get all of the ends and outs of this product. The thing that I like about them, the gummy coating, is also the same reason why I curse them. I've found that the gummy material causes the cord to catch on anything that it comes in contact with and thus pulls them out of my ear. Argh!!! I noticed one person on the subway that had a pair and he wore his under his shirt. I guess that's one way to keep it from catching on stuff.
As for the sound, they sound OK. Not great, but not bad either.
All in all it's hard to go wrong with these given the low price. I've had more expensive stuff that hasn't worked nearly as well.
