Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Product Description
Why settle for small CD wallets that carry only a tiny fraction of your music and movie collection when you can carry over two hundred discs at once? This Xtreme CD/DVD case is built to hold as many as 264 discs--giving you a huge selection for long road trips--yet takes up only as much space as the average coffee table book. Each of the case's 33 double-sided storage sleeves can stow up to eight discs (four on each side), or listeners can configure them to hold CDs and DVDs in half the pockets and booklets in the other half. More importantly, the case protects your media from damage thanks to its sturdy rubberized outer layer that's resistant to heat, moisture, and tearing. The durable construction ensures that your discs are perfectly safe even if you forget them in your car on a warm afternoon. The interior of the case also contributes to your discs' wellbeing, as each sleeve is lined with a soft, scratch-free backing. Once you're ready to hit the road, merely zip up the closure for safekeeping and grab the reinforced rubber handle. So whether you're stocking up on music and movies for a cross-country drive or you just want to do away with jewel cases and compress your collection, this Xtreme case is a perfect fit.

1 out of 5 stars Zipper Problems   October 9, 2005

I bought six of these cases of varying sizes. And even though they look great and were of seemingly great value, the frustration they cause doesn't worth it. I have had repeated problem with the zipper on every single one of them, some of the zippers broken and cannot be fixed. And on one of the cases, the adhesive holding the pages wore out and the pages have come loose. And I only used the case for two months.

I agree that the price was nice, but I guess you get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 stars Xtreme TB264DKO 264-Disc CD/DVD Case - rebate problem   February 18, 2006

I also bought this item. Sent in all of the required documents, including original UPC. Rebate denied because UPC was not included. I emailed them 3 times stating that I did in fact enclose it . Also quoted the number from the copy of it that I retained. To date, have heard nothing from them. I have now filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General, and will follow up and file with the better business bureau and the FTC.

2 out of 5 stars Finally got rebate   March 18, 2006

I had all the same rebate issues with this item as others, so if you are buying this CD case just because of the rebate, please DON'T. I did finally receive my rebate, 4 months later after a second mailing in and irate email. I just cashed the check and I'm crossing my fingers that it actually goes through! The product itself seems okay. I can see if you use it a lot that the zipper might break, but I rarely get into my CDs so I haven't had that issue yet. However, I do not plan to ever buy from this company again because of all the rebate run around. A very dishonest company if you ask me. Good luck to everyone else waiting for a rebate!

2 out of 5 stars Same Rebate Issue   December 31, 2005

I had the same rebate that issue others have mentioned. My rebate returned with the "invalid purchase date" error, so I gave them a call at the number listed on one of the below reviews (I also managed to find the number on their website... But boy was it well hidden.)

After failing to navigate their automated phone system a few times, I finally managed to get ahold of a live person. You have to select the option that you had sent the rebate in over 6 weeks ago, otherwise it tells you to wait 6 weeks then try again (by which time the rebate would be over and they would probably tell you there is nothing that can be done)

The lady I spoke to was nice enough, though either she was dumb as a brick or her company is trying to cheat people out of their money and she is immoral enough to go along with it. After giving her my tracking number for the rebate she told me that the date on my rebate was invalid. I asked her what a valid date would have been, and she said she didn't have that information (Which I find hard to believe, since it is listed on Amazon as being 12/31/05.)

So now that I feel like she is more than likely lying to me, I decided it was time to point out that there were a number of other people on Amazon that were having this /EXACT/ same problem, and that these people have written negative reviews on the site about it. AMAZINGLY her tone changed immediatly. The next words out of her mouth were "I have corrected the problem and your rebate has gone through." Strange how that works.

The CD case is fine. I haven't had any problems with it, and I have it fully(over)-loaded, but someone with Amazon needs to take a look at the rebate company's practices. They seem /VERY/ shady to me, and it reflects poorly on Amazon that they allow businesses with these kinds of poor practices to sell things on their site.

1 out of 5 stars Poor quality - avoid   February 16, 2006

I have a collection of over 1500 disks so I have bought many cd/dvd cases over the years and this brand is the worst quality on any that I have purchased. I would avoid this brand.
