Installation is a breeze with the patented Roto-lock system and it can be painted to match your home's decor. The cut-out size for this in-ceiling speaker system is 6.75-inches in diameter and the speaker is less than three inches deep -- the perfect fit for almost any ceiling. The high-efficiency design allows the HFW5R to operate on as little as 10 watts of power, but it isn't sheepish -- this little speaker can handle the heft of a wide range of home theater and stereo receivers (up to 65 watts). Great for the price! June 7, 2008
In shopping for in-ceiling speakers for our Sonos system, I came across HiFi Works. Since their parent company (Sonance) did high custom installation speakers, I figured I would give them a shot. We installed the 6.5 speakers in our bedroom. They sounded great. Even the bass response was better than I had expected. So, I ordered the speakers I was planning on putting in the rest of the house (9 pairs in all), including these 5.25 inch speakers. I installed them in our master bath. They sound great for the price and installation was a snap. Cut the holes (I used a spin saw with a circle attachment--it cut a perfect hole), ran the wire, connected the speakers, placed them and tighten the screws, replaced the grills.
I don't think you could do much better for the price.
