My 6 year old is really too old for this but she still likes it anyways. This is the newer version which has the base you set it upon to charge it (opposed to plugging it in), which is nice for safety reasons, but can be knocked off easily. It also has the smart timer which means that it shuts off after a certain amount of time with out having to do any thing which allows it to last longer between charges. Pink is a medium glow, orange is a low glow, and green is a bright glow (from my experience). Love it!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas, and from the moment she saw it, she loved it! After about a month and a half, it stopped working though, and I did not have any of the original packaging so the company it came from online wouldn't take it back. I emailed customer service at Mobi directly to see about getting a replacement, and they sent one (had it in only 3 days) before I even sent the old one back. Come to find out, the light was fine, but the charger was broken and didn't charge it up anymore. Kudos to the TykeLight and even more kudos to the friendly and excellent people at Mobi customer service.

I purchased this product for my daughter when she first started sleeping without a diaper. She instantly fell in love with the little guy and used it to go to the potty the very first night. The only thing she didn't like was the fact that it didn't have a face. (I fixed that problem by drawing a smiley on it with a sharpie.)
I'm not entirely sure if the battery lasts a full 10 hours and the smart-timer option is useless in our household as my daughter has figured out how to change the setting (she prefers having it on for longer than 15 minutes).
Overall, I am very pleased with this night light and will definitely purchase another one for my younger child when she potty trains.

This light is good at first. It then all of a sudden was really dim after a month of use. I could not longer get it back to the brighter light. I charge it all the time also. I think that is also doesn't last 10 hours.

My son loves to play with this light, but when it comes to comforting his fear of the dark, it's pretty useless. My daughter has a yellow one that works great, but the blue one has always been very dim, the light just doesn't get through the dark color of the plastic as well. The battery life is not as advertised either, this light has always lasted a maximum of 6 hours. After just a few short months, I'm back at amazon looking for a replacement.
