Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Sanus Euro Foundations have the sleek, contemporary look that complements today's loudspeakers, matches Sanus Euro Furniture, and provides the quiet, rigid performance demanded by audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts. Sanus has elevated contemporary European design to a new height of performance art. Euro's distinctive tri-corner base solidly anchors the slender single pillars that rise to meet the rigid top plate. The satin powder-coated finishes, combined with the statuesque design creates a look that enhances any room ? without overpowering it. The sturdy base is engineered for solid support and superior performance. Premium adjustable floor spikes, as well as custom screw-in rubber feet provide improved stability and minimized resonance on any floor surface. The steel top plate is strong, yet inconspicuous and features the special isolation pads.

5 out of 5 stars Solid, attractive stands   August 28, 2003

These are very solid, high quality stands with an attractive black epoxy finish. The bases appear to be cast iron and are very heavy. The columns are hollow and constructed to hide the speaker wires. I have a pair of Wharfedale Super 7's in the Rosewood finish sitting on them and they isolate the speakers very well.

5 out of 5 stars Great stands for the price   March 16, 2004

This is great pair of speaker stands for mid sized bookshelf speakers. IMHO, they'd look big for small satelites like Bose or Klipsch Quintet. I'm using them for my Polk RTi4 but from the construction, I'm sure it'll handle the RTi6 just fine. Sanus rates the stands for up to 25lbs.

PROs
- Nice solid steel construction with a heavy base for stability and powder coated (much better than regular paint)
- 2 sets of top plates are provided so you can pick the best fit for your speakers or even swap them if you get new speakers of a different size
- Smaller base footprint compared to similar stands
- 3-point claw base helps further isolate plus you can run the speaker wires under them for a neat setup
- Speaker cable can run inside the tube
- Top plates are very slim but strong
- Very easy assembly (2 screws and a few isolation pads, spikes/studs are provided but optional for use)
- Fantastic value for the price (at least from Amazon)

CONs
- Limited adjustability of the spikes (only matters if you're using them to "level" the stand on thicker carpets)
- Top plate isolation pads are very tiny and thin. Not sure if they'll last.

For the price you're paying at amazon (~50 w/ free shipping), it doesn't get better than this.

4 out of 5 stars Decent speaker stands   March 24, 2007
They do alright, easy to setup and relatively sturdy. Carpet floor pegs are a little sucky, but what of it!?

Definitely good overall for price!

5 out of 5 stars Holds My Speakers   April 6, 2007
The stands come with a small and a large "shelf" that the speakers sit on and I was able to fit my Sony SS-MB150H speakers perfectly onto the larger shelf. They seem pretty sturdy and heavy, but for those with toddlers, they are NOT toddler-proof. While you can mount the speakers to the stands if the speakers have a pre-threaded nut in the bottom of the case, mine did not and I rely heavily on gravity. The stand does allow for mounting though, so this is more a knock on my speakers than the stand (and I could drill them, but that can't be good). These stands are cheap and do everything I wanted perfectly, so I gave them 5 stars.
