Works well with PDA... June 21, 2006 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I like the concept... This product works well with my HP PDA, but I need to work out the problems I have with my HP dv1000 laptop. It does work well with the PDA so maybe there is something I am not doing properly. It does connect to my laptop, but it has problems approximately every two minutes with interference or distortion & eventually loses a signal. The range is only like 15-20 feet (MAX), but I'll get back to you on my laptop issues. Nice product, but needs to come with a preset code so info is not "out there for othes to hear".
Good concept, nice design, Bluetooth average September 1, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love the design and the concept. The sound is great!
Unfortunately, the range isn't that great (it would be better with BT class 1) and sometimes, when I loose the connection once in a while, it reconnects to another Bluetooth audio device (my neighbors TV - if he knew :) ).
The documentation is really bad. Here are some instructions, that can't be found inside the manual:
1) If it is automatically connected to another (undesired) device, press the button for about 2 seconds to drop the connection so that it's open again for being connected to your device.
2) To pair it with your PC, you need a pairing PIN, it is: 0000
Loses signal very easily August 2, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this device so I can listen to music from my LG Chocolate on my home stereo wirelessly. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that the range tops out at about 15 feet. At greater distances, the device loses signal very easily, which requires a tedious pairing reset process.
I also found that it loses signal if you try to do too much with the phone- for example scrolling through songs while one is already playing. It keeps the signal if I just setup a playlist and leave my phone near the device.
On the plus side, it looks slick and is quite small. It integrates very nicely with my entertainment center.
Bought another! November 30, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased one of these products to install in my car (My reciever has an auxilary input, and I'm sick of having to physically plug my phone into the cable). Before installing it in my car, I decied to test it out on my home stereo system. Now that one is staying where it is and I bought another for the car. This is by far the best $11 I have ever spent.
A few notes: Do not get confused by what I said about my car, this is NOT meant for auto installation, it comes with a 120 / 5 V adaptor. Not a big deal though since I'm an EE student (Zener Diode voltage regualtor anyone?)
It is true this product has limited range. It's BLUETOOTH! The standard for bluetooth set by the IEEE is 3 meters, or about 9 feet. This product works well beyond that range, and consequently is more than I expected. To properly enjoy, one should be in the same room as the reciever (not too hard) or have a car less than 30 feet long....
It operates at 2.4 GHz, so don't put it next to your microwave. However, it seems to play nice with the other two wireless routers in my house, as I've noticed no interference as long as I'm in the same room.
I don't know if it works yet July 15, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I recently bought this product but I haven't been able to pair it with my Nokia 5300 because it's asking me for a passcode I don't have. Does anybody know how to reset the Jensen WBT310? I would greatly appreciate any information regarding this product. [...]
