A good buy on a budget December 15, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have been using these speakers in my bedroom for about a month now. I currently have them amplified via the Multiroom speaker out on a Marantz SR5500 in another room. I would consider the speakers fully broken in now, and overall, I am quite pleased. They are not the prettiest pair of bookshelf speakers out there, but at lower listening levels they provide good clarity and range. I even listen to Super Audio CDs with these, and do not have anything to complain about given what they cost. These speakers can also handle some pretty loud sound levels, although highs begin to break up a bit and sound harsh. The bass that they put out at higher levels will thump your floor though. I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a good bargain on bookshelf speakers without sacrificing too much quality and who also isn't overly worried about aesthetics.
Used for rear suround January 26, 2007 I use these for rear suround. They are great for this purpose. Not sure how they would work out as mains, but not bad for the price.
