Clarity and power all in a tight sounding system. Worth the money. December 9, 2008
M&K or Miller and Kreisel was founded in 1974 by Ken Kreisel. With over 30 years of experience the quality shows through and through. I mated these speakers up to a Klipsch KA-1000-THX Amplifier using Monster Cable 16-Gauge In-Wall Speaker Cable UL-approved for in-wall use and THX-certified 500 ft.. The speakers mounted on the walls very easily and look very sharp. The setup on the Klipsch was very easy and soon the speakers were thumping and sounding awesome.
With this set you get a complete THX certified speaker system. THX certification means this:
"The THX Certification programs provide consumer electronics manufacturers with specifications and technologies for improving the design of high performance home theater products. The goal? To help manufacturers create audio/video products that accurately translate movie, music and video game content to the home environment. The THX engineering team works closely with its manufacturing partners to incorporate the THX standards and technologies into a variety of products, including A/V receivers, speakers and pre-amplifiers. THX also analyzes and pre-qualifies new technologies and components for integration into these products--significantly reducing manufacturers' research and development costs. So with this certification on the equipment you can be assured that the sound quality is amazing. While not discussing the amplifier too much I wanted to focus on the speakers because this review is for the speakers. The discrete channels are clear and without a muddled sound. Each speaker handles its piece of the job beautifully. My room is a small home theater and the subwoofer is plenty enough to rattle the walls. I swear that I am sitting in a box-office theater.

In closing:
As far as I know the original M&K filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 2007. The company has since restructured and is once again under the leadership of Ken Kreisel.
