These are a definite upgrade to my factory Mazda 3 speakers. At first sound I knew these speakers were not just an upgrade but crisp, clear and powerful.
For the price you cannot go wrong. You can spend more but I doubt you can improve the sound quality.
I simply am ecstatic.

These speakers are awesome for the price. I replaced the cheap factory speakers with these and the quality is much improved, you can really hear much more depth and distinct sounds in the music.
Great fit for Fords & Mazdas April 25, 2008

These speakers not only sound great, but they are a good deal in terms of price vs. output. If your car specs ask for a 5"x7" speaker (like most early 90s to current Ford and Mazdas do), then these definitely fit. I installed these myself in about 20 minutes in a 2002 Focus with no trouble. Great fit, great sound. A huge improvement over the stock paper-cone speakers.
At the time of this review, I wish I would have purchased from Amazon.com instead of my local big-box retailer - they're cheaper here!
Definitley a pioneer July 1, 2008
These sounded much better than I thought they would. Granted I installed them with dynamat around them but these things hold bass well and the highs and lows are good. Of course they are better than the stock speakers that were in my 95 Millenia but they sounded much better than I thought they would.

I have listened to a few speakers at Best Buys and you cannot tell the difference between a more expensive model and the Pioneer. The only difference is in the price. I bought the speakers a month ago and they sound better today then when I first got them.
