 slapping November 20, 2008
i have one alpine 12 type in a atrend ported box and my system slaps so hard it hurts anyone ears for hours after listening to it. i just got pulled over the other day and the cop said he could hear me for 1000 feet and he has been hearing me for two weeks and that was with out a ported box i just got the box and it starts to hurt my ears after i had already got used to the sound.
also i have a mrp500 alpine amp powering it and ti is not close to half way turned up
I totally recommend this sub i love it and if i had the room i would get tw in my car..

 BEST SUBS EVER (For The Money) December 30, 2008
I have 4 type-r's in my suv and soon going to 6. I am obsessed with this sub and for good reason. For no more than 150 bucks a sub, these subs are the sickest things on the market. I used to run 1000 watts RMS on these and they did FINE! With only two type-r's, I hit a 150dB on the meter. ONLY USE A PORTED BOX THOUGH! If you use a sealed box for too long they will blow up! But enough about that. If you want a GREAT sub for a GREAT price.. Type-r's are the way to go. THESE THINGS ARE SO FRICKIN' LOUD!!!!!
