I researched HDMI cables and because I wanted to be sure I could get 1080p I wondered if their was something special in the more expensive cables out there, like the monster and others that are 3 to 5 times as much. I read the reviews by previous buyers of this HDMI and decided to trust them and go for it. Good move. These cables are currently selling for $40 at Target and are as good as any HDMI cables out there as far as the quality of the picture they can deliver to your TV screen! I found that because TVs have become so competitively priced that stores are making their profits on way over priced HDMI cables! If you want a BEST picture quality, you want at least a 1.3 rating on the cable and this has it. I hooked up my new Panasonic Blu-Ray Disk player to my 40" Samsung TV (with a perfect contrast ratio of 29000/1 which is important to depth of color and clarity as well) and put on the ultimate Blu-ray DVD: the BBS Planet Earth and WOWWWWWWW! Better than I've seen in any store on any TV at any price. It doesn't get any better than this for clarity, quality, beauty, and everything else! Don't waste your money on more expensive cables. Buy these and spend the extra on a Blu-ray player and some Blu-ray DVDs. These cables deliver the best of the best I've ever seen anywhere! Unfortunately, I now have a growing addiction for Blu-ray DVDs. Go for it! I promise that these cables will give you the best possible picture at the best possible price! Belkin delivers!

I bought this for my PS3, it works great and transmits in full 1080P. If you want 1080P, be careful with some of the other cables out there that are dirt cheap, a lot of them are only 1080i. This cable is a trusted brand name at a great price, you can feel safe buying this cable instead of the $80 cable they will try to sell you at the big box stores.

What can you say.... the Belkin HDMI cable is a functional HDMI cable and it works well with my 1080p Sharp LCD television. I can find no reason to spend $60+ for a similar cable from Monster or others. Gold contacts are really not needed... which is what the hype from Monster and others promote. The Belkin cable was inexpensive ($17) and Amazon service was great (I received the cable 3 days after entering the order).

I bought this cable assuming it would be good enough quality to connect my Sony PS3 to my Samsung 650 series 52" LCD TV, boy was I wrong. I was unable to get a signal to my TV at 1080p with this cable. I was able to only go as high as 1080i. Anytime i tried to send a 1080p signal I received an error on screen from the Samsung TV. I called Samsung and tried everything to make things work. Finally, I decided to go to best buy and get a couple higher quality cables to test out before sending the TV back.
I bought a $100 cable from some brand called Pysclone (HDMI version 1.3b), which did work but it created this sparkly effect on the screen which was very annoying, almost like an interference issue, then I tried the Sony PS3 brand HDMI cable (HDMI version 1.3a). The Sony HDMI cable worked perfect! I'm so happy now!
Anyway, my previous assumptions about all HDMI cables being the same was shattered. It may be that lesser quality cables work in some instances, but with these two specific pieces of equipment: the Sony PS3 and the Samsung 650 52" LCD TV, the cable quality definitely matters. Hope this helps someone else out there who may be experiencing similar issues.

This cable works really well and the price is quite affordable. Belkin cables are reliable, I have a couple of Belkin brand cables (not limited to HDMI cables though), all of them work nicely. It's a brand name I trust.
