Amazon.com Product Description Take your favorite tunes on the road or to the park with this portable CD boombox. Sporting a unique, rounded chassis with red highlights that's way more fashionable than standard boxy models, the CX-CD241 is an ideal choice for music fans who want a little extra style with their sounds. Fortunately for listeners, the cool shape doesn't detract from the music, as the CD player still includes all the basics and a few extras. Among the features are standard skip, search, and repeat one and all functions, along with programmable track memory for listeners who want to create a custom soundtrack. When the CDs are played out, listeners can turn to the AM/FM tuner for a less-structured playlist. The CX-CD241 owes its audio performance to its 1-bit digital-to-analog converter, which ensures a clean CD sound, and its pair of wide-ranging side speakers. Rounding out the feature set is a digital two-digit LED display, a telescoping FM antenna, and a flip-up carrying handle. The unit runs on either AC power or six C-size batteries (not included) and measures a compact 8.25 by 5.5 by 8.5 inches (W x H x D). And as with all Coby audio products, the CX-CD241 is backed by a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box CX-CD241 boombox (with speakers), user's manual.

gee try to get an answer August 27, 2005 55 out of 64 found this review helpful
Let's see - no manual, no warranty card, no electric cord, nowhere to order one from Amazon. Like buying lots of batteries.
You get what you pay for
it hums! October 5, 2005 47 out of 51 found this review helpful
Alas, it makes a very noticeable hum even when it's OFF! I have to unplug it if I want the noise to stop. Very disappointing.
But if size matters to you, it's worth mentioning that it's surprisingly small, especially in comparison to other portable stereos. It is easy to carry and fits anywhere.
(edit dec08.2006: and now it's incredibly fickle, frequently interrupting a cd with "ERR" or not even playing it at all. i want to replace it, but where are all the red cd players?)
Worked for 4 days September 5, 2005 40 out of 42 found this review helpful
My experience with this boombox was horrible. I bought it, it worked fine for the first 4 days, then the cd player got messed up. It wouldn't load my cds, instead, the cds would spin out of control in the player. This boombox is not recommended.
Doesn't Even deserve One Star September 4, 2006 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
Got it in December; CD player stopped working in April and now the radio reception is so bad I'm tossing it. Can't provide paperwork for refund as it was a gift.
This stopped working after about a week. November 21, 2006 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
When I was christmas shopping, I thought this looked really cute, and I figured, "Hey, it's cheap, and looks good." So I bought it. It worked pretty well for the first couple of days, and then the CD playing system on it just decided to stop working. I checked all things that I might have possibly done wrong, but I didn't find any. When you try to load the CD, it doesn't let you play anything. I would not recomend this product for whoever wants to buy it, because it did not work like I wanted it to, and it made a pretty lousy Christmas present after I found out it had broken. DON'T BUY THIS.
