I bought 4. I use them in Switzerland on Swisscom. Works fine on a jailbroken iPhone.
Problems:
1) You cannot choose your carrier. So, if the phone picks up a stronger signal from a roaming partner you cannot undo the connection unless you move far away enough from the roaming signal to lose it. But if living in a boarder city, this problem is common. Nope, turning the iPhone off and on ... does not solve the problem.
2) 3G works 5% of the time. Seriously, I live in the center of Geneva and only pick up 3G once in a while (5%). If I put the same SIM card into my Nokia, I pick up 3G 99% of the time.
3) Inserting it into the slot requires some dexterity if you don't want to damage your phone or the paper thin circuitry.
4) When syncing with iTunes it occasionaly errors out and says the SIM card is not supported. The only way around is to have a SIM card which was linked to the phone's issuer. So, make sure you have an original SIM card at hand. Otherwise you cannot sync.
Excellent alternative while hackers have not figured out how the Crack the iPhone 3G.

This sim card worked perfect. It was a pop in and go type of sim card. I did however cut my sim card, because it was quite a tight fit and I didn't want to "smash" some of the connectors while inserting into my iphone 3g. It works perfectly with version 2.1, but I recently upgraded to v2.2, and it stopped working, but if youre still on version 2.1, this will definately work...and its also a great price, check it out!
Remember it works only with 2.1, not 2.2.
