1 out of 5 stars Unfortunate waste of time   June 7, 2004

I saw mixed reviews on this product and hoped I would
be one of the fortunate buyers for whom this product worked.
Unfortunately, this product did not work at all, so I am
returning it.
I spent several hours trying to line up the transmitter and
receiver, changed channels, tried transmitting from two
different locations on the first floor of my house to a
second floor bedroom, even tried using the coax cable
instead of the rca plugs on the recieving TV set.
The total straight line distances from transmitter to
the receiver were from 20 to 30 feet and I needed to pass
through one wall and a ceiling.
Nothing was successful. The results were un-viewable and
looked like broadcast TV with a broken antenna - distorted
colors, grainy and fading shapes, and no sound.
I settled on hooking up an amplified rabbit ear antenna
from Radio Shack to the set and am now getting very good
free broadcast TV on channels 7 -13.

2 out of 5 stars 30 ft is about it.   August 18, 2007

You're right 30 ft is about the maximum distance through any wall.
I finally got the picture and sound working well by having the sender higher than the receiver. Now when i use it in another room there is no sound. I think the new video sender from china on ebay actually works better.
