 Big Improvement for HDTV, low price. March 25, 2006

I see no reason to pay more for an HDMI cable. This is a big improvement over the cable company Compoment cable supplied with the HDTV Recorder Cable Box. Well packed,with gold plated ends and a nice thickness, and from a good name brand sterro company. Very fast shiping and well packed.Very happy.

I like Dayton cables - they are good quality. But I ordered them on Amazon Marketplace first from a company called ClearAV. What they sent me was NOT A DAYTON CABLE - instead they sent me a pretty high quality import cable which works great but is not what they advertised. Because I really wanted a Dayton brand cable I then placed an order with Amazon Marketplace seller Abacus24-7 for two of these advertised Dayton HDMI cables. They sent me two Chineese import cables that were much lower quality than even the generic cables I received from ClearAV. When I contacted Abacus24-7 their response was "The cable you received should be as described, and is the exact cable the other merchants on the Amazon listing are selling. " which should give you some concern that other marketplace sellers are also passing off imports as the name brand Dayton cable. Bottom line, if you want a Dayton cable and the price is less than $10-15 you probably are not going to receive a genuine Dayton cable. The cable you do get may or may not be good quality. Yes, Amazon was good about helping me get refunds but it's not worth the effort. Buyer beware.

This cable finally unleashed the real HD capabilities of my TV. I had to use the cable company-provided component cables for a week and was utterly disappointed with the picture. I decided to roll the dice on this obscure brand's HDMI cable as opposed to paying $99 for Monster cables at Best Buy and I could not be happier. I strongly recommend ths cable as well as the vendor selling it via amazon as they sent it out very quickly.

I couldn't believe what other sources were asking for HDMI cables. When I saw the price Dayton was asking I decided to give them a try. If the cables were inferior I wasn't out much. They turned out to be just as advertised. They shipped promptly and I don't see how the picture quality can be any better on more expensive brands.

I use these with my sony es da5200 reciever, sony dvd, sony KDS-R50XBR1 HD tv. I replaced the previous monster hd cables for these less expensive cables. I have used these for 4 months. There is no difference. They work great. the sound & visual are exceptional.
