| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The proper positioning of home theater satellite speakers is not as obvious as it seems. While many people enjoy sound reproduced from speakers at ear level, the correct positioning, according to Dolby Laboratories, is actually several feet above ear level. Enter Hover Foundations. These heavy duty cast iron and steel speaker stands are the first ever that meet the placement guidelines of Dolby Laboratories. And they do so with rugged construction designed to hold speakers up to 10 lbs., and include features like adjustable height and a concealed wire management path. Get ready to hear what Dolby Digital sound really sounds like.

These are stands you are looking for! January 29, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Thick sturdy construction, proper height adjustble as per Dolby "above the ear". Beats all ear level rear speaker stand setup's. Rubber pads for tile floor or spikes for carpet, also selection of brackets for all speaker sizes. Hides wires and price is right. I will never have to buy another speaker stand again even if I upgrade my system or speakers! Great purchase! Don't be fooled by low price leader... look at shipping cost. I purchased mine from Amazon with a zero SUPER SAVER shipping. Do the math first. Stop shopping the SANUS HF1B is perfect for the audio consious!
Great speaker stand for any number of small size speakers March 29, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great speaker stand option. It is reasonably priced and is well designed. You receive in the box a number of extra parts with allow you the option of a fully vertical or slanted configuration. The various plates that are included also allow you to pick the best match for your specific speaker. I am using these for a set of Infinity TSS1000 and the set up and finish is a great match.
The base of the stand has sufficient mass to anchor the stand and keep it from toppling over. I have these speakers placed on a solid flooring surface, I have no vibration noise issues.
If in the market for a set of speaker stands I would repurchase these: great value for the money and very flexible for various applications.
Sturdy February 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These stands are best for larger bookshelf type speakers. They are extremely sturdy, but their beefiness makes them inappropriate for smaller sats, which I had. With bigger speakers, they look and perform great.
Finish leaves a little to be desired October 18, 2006 These are more good than bad.
Good:
You have the option of either a straight or bent post. They are very solidly built stands. The floor spikes make them more stable on a carpeted floor. The wide range of adapters make this a truly universal stand capable of holding a wide variety of speakers.
Bad:
My stands came with several spots where the black finish had chipped off. I need to put some touch up paint on them now because it just isn't worth the hassle to return them. The speaker wire isn't completely hidden. It goes into the bottom of the post, not the bottom of the base. It isn't a big deal but you still have to run the wire over the base instead of under it. The stands I got were somewhat "preassembled" with the straight post versus the bent post. It was a real pain to undo this and re-assemble with the bent post. Finally, the carpet spikes could be longer for thicker carpets.
Price for single? December 3, 2006 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
What I don't get is the price. It appears to be a price of $55 for a single stand because nowhere in the description does it mention pair or show a picture of a pair. But the manufacturer sells a pair for $89 and Best Buy sells a pair for $79 (at the store if they stock them which they appear not to). So with the above price I would pay $110 for two?? Even with shipping comparisons, it's a puzzle. Where's the deal?
Otherwise Amazon or their substores needs to do a better job for the description of many of the products I find online. Terrible way to sell if you have to go to another site just to read up on a product.
