We've fished the Atlantic and caught a whale of a deal! This famous name subwoofer comes from one of the most honored home theater speaker manufacturers today. We'd love to tell you where it came from, but we've been told that we can only talk about the product, not the name brand. Minor cabinet blemishes on the textured black vinyl prompted the manufacturer to reject a limited number of these subs! So minor in fact, that we had a difficult time spotting the blemishes ourselves! Dr. Hsu designed the SB-1000 with a 10" long-stroke subwoofer and a bass-reflex cabinet that has been tweaked to reduce the footprint while extending the frequency response down to a jaw-rattling 32 Hz. A flared port is used to minimize vent velocity and a low distortion 100W amplifier helps this subwoofer achieve an output of 105 dB. Built into the amplifier is a low-pass crossover that is adjustable from 40-140 Hz and bypassable for pre-filtered LFE signals. Acoustic matching to your speakers is accomplished by adjusting the variable phase control. Two-channel enthusiasts will appreciate the line-level outputs that parallel off of the line-level inputs for stereo integration or daisy chaining multiple subwoofers. A signal sensing circuit automatically powers the amplifier up as soon as a movie begins. Dimensions: 20-1/4" H x 12-3/4" W x 17-1/2" D.
