The PSW1000 subwoofer specializes in a low distortion, high output, deep bass that you can really feel. Dual 10-inch (25cm) Dynamic Balance Drivers have nearly 40% more surface area than a single 12-inch driver and a much greater force-to-mass ratio. The result is lower distortion and higher sound pressure level with superb detail. During the design process, a state-of-the-art Klippel laser optimization machine is used to perfectly position the voice coil in the magnetic gap. This ensures that equal force is placed on the driver cone in both forward and backward travel, resulting in tighter, more detailed, lower distortion bass. You get high power, reliable operation with precise definition and low distortion from the included BASH amplifier that combines the fidelity of conventional Class A/B amplifiers with the efficiency of Class D amplifiers. It's so powerful that it allows this amplifier to be rated at 825 Watts Peak -- more than a whole Horsepower (which is 746 Watts, in case you need to know)! This is a GREAT sub-woofer! The overall sound quality and smooth bass over the enitre room is GREAT. The more I play it the better it sounds, deep, low, full, pounding bass.
 Nice sub with good bass extension to match LSI15's, but sucks for Home theater July 30, 2008
1st one damaged, 2nd one dead in one minute. Even in working order this sub has too much port noise for serious HT use, sounds like broken plastic shaking and slamming against the wall. Use only if you want to listen to music or low volume HT. A Klipsch Sub-12 for half the cost would be better for HT use.
