Product Description This 2-way, dual 5" center channel loudspeaker with a high-impact molded enclosure that blends in with modern televisions reproduces sound with unmatched clarity and power. The PolyPlas (polymer-coated cellulose fiber) cone woofer features traditional JBL engineering. Shielded components allow placement near video monitors. High-temperature, oversized Kapton voice coil and HeatScape motor structure allow these speakers to effortlessly play all types of movies and music. The FreeFlow flared port increases bass response without adding unwanted port noise. JBL's custom-designed drivers allow the use of simple, Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover networks with high-quality electrical components that minimize processing that could degrade the signal.

Fantastic Speaker at a Phenomenal Price! January 14, 2003 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
The center channel speaker of a home theater system provides the main audio, such as dialogue, of the program being viewed. The "JBL N-Center II Center Channel Speaker" provides crystal clear voice reproduction, ranging from the faintest whisper to the most raucus yell. With a power rating of up to 150 watts, and 3 decent drivers, it is a nice fit for the average to above average system.
Great for the money June 29, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I first saw this speaker on Amazon, I thought that it was gonna be a cheap plastic speaker. But, wow was I wrong. This JBL center Channel is great. It has great reproduction of voices and music...

Center Channel Performance As It Should Be March 5, 2004 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a mystery to me why some are satisfied with realistic dialog from a center channel speaker. As much as 60% of the total audio energy goes to the center channel. It should be capable of accurately reproducing the entire audible range of frequencies. This speaker does just that and does it very well, (except the very lowest - about 80 Hz or below) better than some far more expensive speakers that we auditioned at a retailer. If this speaker does not return to Amazon.com it is worth looking for elsewhere.
