Product Description The Venue Series Balcony loudspeaker reproduces audio in a big way. Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas woofers, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, assisted by the dual FreeFlow flared ports, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS) waveguide ensures sweet music and intelligible dialogue. Since the transducers were purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line Signal Path (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal processing and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal. Sturdy gold-plated, five-way binding posts provide a strong connection that preserves all of the nuances of the original program. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim profile won't overpower your room. The Venue Series Balcony performs like a pro, with technology developed by JBL's Professional division. Good little speakers January 26, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got these to run with a pair of JBL e60s. They are pretty good. Good price. I can't complain. Obviously they are nothing special if you have money to spend, but if you are strapped for cash, they are fantastic. Good sound, nice size, great look.
Disappointed Based on Reviews Read January 27, 2007 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
Bought them to replace a 15 year old pair of wall mounted Hitachi speakers. After a side-by-side comparison prior to wall mounting the new ones, I was somewhat startled and disappointed to find the older Hitachi speakers had better all-around sound and volume. I would not recomment these speakers to anyone who wants volume and clarity.

Great surround speakers March 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am using these as my rear and rear surround speakers on a 7.1 stereo and think they sound great. Deep, rich sound (not tinny at all) that has really added to my home theater.
My only problem is the rather cheesy silver covers that fit on the front of the speakers. They look kind of cheap and I had one that kept slipping out (so I glued it in place.)
Impressive little speakers November 29, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are wonderful (rear surround) speakers for the price. They've got a nice, balanced sound, and the dual top ports allow for reasonable bass for their size.
The Venue series is JBL's replacement for the Northridge E Series, but they tend to look a little cheesier. There's a reason that the promo shots for these speakers never have the silver, cloth covers on them. All the same, good bang for your buck.
